Mrs. Laura Haines went with the 4th grade of Vanoss on their end-of-school trip Wednesday. It consisted of a train ride from Pauls Valley to Ardmore. Mrs. Ina Haines visited Mrs.

Cora Cassidy Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. James CarutH- ers, Gary and Ronald visited Mr. and Mrs.

Harold Haines Saturday. The afternoon was spent frog hunting with bows and arrows. Afterwards the group enjoyed a hamburger fry. 'Mrs. Laura Haines attended a 4-H club meeting at Vanoss recently.

Attending the last adult education class at Vanoss Tuesday night were Mrs. Ina Haines, Mrs. Laura Haines, Mrs. Etta Garrett and Myra Nell and Mrs. Roxie Golden.

A group of Vanoss FHA senior girls held a panel discussion, "Buying On Tune." Another group had a short skit, "Wise Buying." Mr. and Mrs. Benny Jones and Kenny and the Rev. and Mrs. Don Kathy and Stephen visited and Mrs.

As usual, it rained. For the past seven years it hasn't failed to rain on the first night of 'their fishing trip. However, this year the boys anticipated rain and went prepared with tarps and tents. Larry Gray was the out-going president. Mrs. Kelley Hosts Hart Homemakers The Hart Extension Homemakers met Monday in the Cletus Kelley home, Mrs.

Kelley as hostess. Mrs. Marjorie Soutee, president, presided and Mrs. Arno Griffith was program leader. She gave a devotional using scripture taken from the 21st chapter of Proverbs.

The prayer was given by Mrs. Marjorie Soutee. Rollcall was answered with "My favorite dollar stretcher." The lesson was on freezing and canning food. The members each took a quiz on "What's Your Food Preservation I.Q.?'' Mrs. Griffith showed several jars of fruit and vegetables she had canned for past fairs.

She also showed different kinds of containers used in freezing food. The group discussed going to the Jan Frances Nursing Home to present a program for the patients. It was decided to go to the'home the Friday before Mother's Day and present a program consisting of singing, a devotional and prayer.
