6A OBITUARIES The Times Herald Port Huron, Mich. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1991 I Michael S. Haslip member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Erma; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Pat Deachin and Duane and June Deachin, all of Port Huron, and Edward and Delores Freeman of Algonac; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bud Glyshaw of Ruby and Judy and Ronald McNutt of Port Huron; 16 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; a brother, Leonard Deachin of Ubly; two sisters, Eleanor Kargas of Ruth and Sally Peters of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, two blocks east of the Mueller Brass Co. and 10:30 a.m.

at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The Rev. C. Paul Higdon, Mercy Hospital chaplain, will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visiting is 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Scott and Don Deachin, Kenneth and Michael McNutt, Bud Glyshaw, Frederick DeBell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason, Justin and John Glyshaw and Greg Angle-brandt. Memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Mable Fountain of Elwell and Mrs. Geraldine Caswell of Deckerville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Lea Bowling. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the B.D. Apsey Funeral Home in Deckerville. The Rev.

Kenneth Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery in Deckerville. Visiting is 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 10 am.

He was born June 24, 1920 in Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred Kelly, and the dear father of Terrence, Richard, Deborah and Martha. He is also survived by grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Robert III. Services will be 9:30 a.m.

Friday in the S.K. Schultz Trust 100 Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot, East Detroit. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Visiting is 5 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 9 p.m.

Thursday. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City. The Rev.

Arthur H. Jacobi Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visiting is 2 to 9 p.m.

today and Thursday in the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in St. Clair and 9 to 10 Friday at the church. A scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Cancer Foundation.

Orma G. Williamson DECKERVILLE Orma G. Williamson, 69, of 1243 Ruth Road, died Monday, Jan. 21, 1991, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw.

She was born March 28, 1921, in McGregor. She married Telford Willamson May 24, 1941, in Bridgehampton Township. Mrs. Williamson retired from the Yale Rubber Co. in Sandusky and was a member of the Sandusky Monday Ladies Bowling League.

She is survived by her husband, Telford; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Fern Willamson of Deckerville; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Paul Cowley of Sandusky; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Orval and Grant Bowling, both of Deckerville, and David Bowling of McGregor; two sisters, Mrs. Michael S. Haslip PORT HURON Michael S. Haslip, 38, died Monday, Jan. 21, 1991, in his residence.

He was born Feb. 5, 1952, in Port Huron. He married Zella Andrews Sept. 14, 1984, in Port Huron. Mr.

Haslip was a salesman and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Zella; a son, Patrick; two daughters, Jessica and Joiline; his father, Robert C. Haslip of Lansing; two sisters, Barbara Wright and Staci Haslip, both of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill Haslip in 1980. Services will be 10 a.m.

Thursday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Home-South Chapel. Maj. Paul F. Howard of the Salvation Army Citadel in Port Huron will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Visiting is 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Al Meyers, Roland Frey, Mike Gates, Bob Smith, Marvin Gill and Wesley White. Memorials may be made to the Wishes of the Family. youth. Eleanore served on the Algonac Board of Education for 13 years, many of those years as treasurer.

She was very diligent in her work with the Algonac Good-fellows, writing articles for their publications and spearheading their canned food drive each year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mrs. Trix was a member of the River District Hospital Auxiliary, Trinity United Methodist Church Womens Society and the Algonac Lioness Club. A memorial service will be at noon Thursday in the Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev.

James Britt will officiate. Arrangments are by the Gilbert Funeral Home in Algonac. Memorials for Eleanore Grossner Trix may be made to the Algonac Community Schools, 1216 St. Clair Blvd. or to Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester.

Evelyn L. Markel BRADENTON, Fla. Evelyn L. Markel, 81, a former area resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1991.

She was born Feb. 15, 1909, in St. Clair and had lived in Bradenton for 25 years. She married Elmer Markel June 30, 1927, in Marine City. She is survived by her husband, Elmer; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherlee and John Waseleski of Clinton Township; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roland and Rosemarie Markel of Bradenton, Fla.

and Stewart and Carol Markel of Marine City; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin and Elsie Guildenstein of Lewiston and Herb and Lynn Guildenstein of St. Clair; a brother-in-law, Russel Markel of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Loretta Morgan of Florida. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Alva Smarch, Myrtle Guildenstein and Viola Stephan Baldwin. daughters-in-law, Richard A. and Margaret Duenaz, Frank C.

Jr. and Karen Duenaz, Michael R. and Cathy Duenaz and Stephen D. and Christine Duenaz, all of Port Huron; a son, George J. Duenaz and his fiancee, Ronda Loxton, of Port Huron; two sons, Brian A.

and Robin S. Duenaz, both of Port Huron; 31 grandchildren; five great-grandsons; a sister and brother-in-law, Lila and Gene Taylor of St. Louis, a sister, Mary Lou Carroll of Granite City, a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hall of Mohawk City, N.C.; a son-in-law, Richard K.

Brast of Lexington; and her beloved dog, Laddie. She was preceded in death by a son, Randall A. "Bob" Duenaz July 23, 1972 and a grandson, Richard A. Duenaz Jr. in September 1971.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Peter J.

Vander Linden, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial wiU be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Karrer-Simpson-Crawford Funeral Home. Our mother carried all of us into this world and we will carry our mother into her new world.

Pallbearers will be her sons. Honorary pallbearers will be her daughter, grandsons, Troy and John Brast, and Joe Duenaz, and Richard Brast. Eleanore Grossner Trix ALGONAC Eleanore Grossner Trix, 72, died Friday, Jan. 18, 1991, in her home. Eleanore Trix was born Nov.

11, 1918. She was a lifelong resident of Algonac and a graduate of Algonac High School. She married John L. Trix. The couple were married for 20 years.

Mr. Trix died Sept. 8, 1968. Mrs. Trix is survived by a son, John J.

Trix of Dallas. Eleanore Trix was an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone a secretary for Detroit Gasket, office manager for the Algonac Branch of Southeastern Michigan Gas Co. and an accountant and office manager at Colony Marine. Mrs. Trix was honored as Algonac's Citizen of the Year and was an avid worker for the community, especially for the Ruby I.

Ruby I. Duenaz PORT HURON Our beloved mother has left this world to rejoin her loving son, Bob, in heaven forever. Ruby I. Duenaz, 63, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 21, 1991, in Port Huron Hospital.

She was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Lincoln, Neb. and had been an area resident since 1945. She retired from Prestolite Wire Co. after 44 years of service.

She is survived by a daughter, Cathy J. Brast and her fiance, John Lashbrook, of Lexington; four sons and JONES MONUMENTS Kenneth P. Deachin PORT HURON Kenneth P. Deachin, 75, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1991, in Port Huron Hospital.

He was born April 28, 1915, in Bad Axe and was a lifelong area resident. He married Erma A. Barcume Aug. 5, 1961, in Port Huron. Mr.
