Troy Trumble of Algonac, a graduate student at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, has received a $1,000 Dr. William K. Riddell Memorial Graduate Scholarship. Mr. Trumble is a 1989 graduate of granddaughter of Merle and Cleo Krum of Stanton and James and Mary Marineau of Henderson, Nev.

Theresa Marie Howard received a $1,000 scholarship from Papa John's Pizza restaurants in Marysville to attend the college of her choice. Ms. Howard, who is a graudate of Marysville High School, plans to attend St. Clair County Community College. Kari Marie Zakalata graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelors degree in elementary education with minors in mathematics and earth science.

Ms. Zakalata is a 1995 graduate of Memphis High School. She will student teach first grade in the fall at Glen Cairn Elementary School, East Lansing.
