Elmer Christiansen, Pontiac, on Aug. 13. Orion Pearson, 62, of Peoria, a former Pontiac resident, died at St. Francis Hospital. He had been ill several years.

14. The Cagley family held its second annual reunion on Aug. 7 at Lake Bloomington with 55. relatives and four, guests present. The oldest member present was Mrs.

Martha Coash, 60, of Cullom, and the youngest was Toni Lynn a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Cagley, Pontiac. Officers elected for next year were: President, Henry Cagley, Streator; vice president, spending a few weeks traveling George Cagley, Danvers; through the Pacific northwest. Sales tax collections during May netted the city of Pontiac $3,805.

The tax was collected on approximately $1,209,400 in sales tax in Pontiac. For the first 10 months of the current city sales tax year net collections have totaled $57,411. August 15, 1949 The temperature at 1:30 p.m. today was 86 degrees. Low iast night was 68 degrees.

Judging begins tomorrow at Cullom fair CULLOM A total of $4,042 will be offered in premium money to exhibitors at the Cullom Junior Fair which takes place in the village park and community building. All livestock must be in place by 8 a.m. Friday. Dairy judging begins at 8:30 a.m. and swine judging at 10 a.m.

Flowers may be entered between 8 and 11 a.m. in the community building and domestic.arts exhibits must be in place by 12 noon. At 1 p.m. flowers, domestic arts and more swine will be judged. A style revue will be held at 2 p.m.
