Carthage, July accordance with an agreement reached several months ago, which the .1 llonie Telephone Company purchased the local Bell system to effect a consolidation of the two systems, the Home company will aa- control of the Bell property here Although the consolidation of the two so far as telephone service Is concerned, will not be effected until the first of the year, the Home company assumes control of the property at this time that it may have full control making preparations for the cohsolrdation. No temporary consolidation of the two systems' will be made at this time although all long distance calls will be handled, through the Bell office, the long distance board of the Home company having ferred to that office to avoid Interference in remodelinp: work at the Home office.
