PIUEST Cable features 'Sounds of the Season' "Sounds of the Season," a 90-minute Christmas special featuring more than 200 local high school students, can be seen today, Wednesday and Sunday on Continental Cablevision's Channel 6 in Lansing and Grand Ledge. The program showcases choral groups and instrumental soloists from Eastern, Waverly, Grand Ledge and Holt high schools; Pattengill Middle School; DeWitt's Scott Elementary School; Dimondale Elementary School; and Lansing Community College. The show is sponsored by Marshall Music and Continental Cablevision and includes traditional and contemporary holiday music. The program may be seen at 10 a.m. today, 3 p.m.

Commissioners will vote on whether to raise water rates 23.2 percent-over the next three years at 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Water and Light 123 W. Ottawa St High school seniors who don't pass all portions of a state exit exam will still be able to get a diploma in 1997.

Born February 8, 1953 in Albion, Mr. Gullett was a Lansing resident for 10 years, moving here from California in 1983. He was the owner and operator of Hair Future Michigan and L'Hairitage in California. He also taught cosmetology in Michigan. He was born on July 24, 1929 in Lansing, and has been a life long resident. He was employed with Citizens Insurance Company of America, retiring in October of 1992 as a Material Damage Supervisor, after 35 years of service. Mary's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers Confraternity. She is survived by 2 daughters, Dolores Spitzley and Lilly Mae (Norbert) Fox, both of Westphalia; 5 grandchildren, Ronald (Phyllis) Fox of Okemos, Terry (Paula) Fox of Adrian, Carol (Randy) Schafer of Williamston, David (Vickie) Fox and Kevin (Lori) Fox, both of Westphalia; and 10 great grandchildren.
