Greg Harris Vernick, 33, 400 block of Brandywine Place, Lansing, second degree home invasion, 40-60 months in prison with credit for 56 days, $60 to Crime Victims Rights COURTS was scheduled to testify against her alleged rapist, Marvin Gabrion, in Newaygo County court. Police are also looking for Wayne Davis, 44, a witness to the alleged assault a year ago. He left notes for his family saying he was moving to California, but investigators believe they were written under force. "Mr. Davis, I believe, has been the recipient of foul play," said Sgt.

Dave Babcock, a detective for the Newaygo County Sheriff's Department. Authorities especially want to talk to Gabrion, 43, of White Cloud, but he's gone, too. "Everybody's keeping their eyes open for him," said Ron Tymes, who lives down the road from Ga-brion's former store. Sgt. 1st LT. (RET.) Lilburn, GA Formerly of Lansing Age 39, died Thursday, August 7, 1997. A native of Lansing, Lt. Main retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1993 after 18 years of service which included service in Saudi Arabia in Operations Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

He was a member of the Mountain Park Baptist Church, Stone Mountain, GA. He was a member of the Lake Lansing Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy. Born July 24, 1916 in Eaton MI. Mrs White has been a life long area resident and a long time member of Lansing Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was the Secretary and Treasurer and operated a gift shop for years. She was preceded by her husband, Joseph; sister, Genevieve Peters; brother, Harold Hicks. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Janette (Dean) Bruce, Co-rinne Weiland, Ann Brown, Phyllis (Howard) Moore, Shirley (Kenneth) Collins, and Brian Peters; and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Church from 12 noon until 1 p.m.

Monday, with services 1 p.m. at the Lansing Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5400 W. SL Joe, with Pastors Daniel Tower and Arthur Covell officiating. Interment Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. Contributions may be made to her church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tiffany Funeral Home. Lansing State Journal Two mid-Michigan men are being hailed as heroes for pulling a Landing man from his burning car Friday morning. The man's car exploded in flames about 2:30 a.m. when it struck a "Consumers Energy truck on Creyts Road, police said. The Consumers truck was southbound on Creyts, crossing Saginaw "Highway.

The car was eastbound on Saginaw. It hit the truck directly in the gas tank, police said. Both vehicles burst into flames. The truck driver escaped without Tinjury, police said. But the driver of car was trapped inside.

The Eaton County Sheriffs Department is Attona Police search for missing baby: Mecosta County used a backhoe to search for evidence in the brutal death of a young woman and the "disappearance of her 1 -year-old -daughter. The location was a former general store, about 50 miles north of Grand Rapids, owned by a suspect in the case.

Police found no clues as they dug and picked through sandy Soil Thursday. On July 5, Rachel Timmerman, 19, was found drowned in a Newaygo County lake, bound with chains and cinder blocks.
