1911 tut r.trtNVii it Mississippi ociety LOUISE ESKRIGGE CRUMP Van Landingham-Sistrunk Wedding Is Solemnized On Friday, June the thirteenth at eight o'clock in the rectory of St. Joseph's Catholic church Marie Ann Sistrunk, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Sistrunk and Mr.

Elliott Van Landingham of Arcola, were quietly married with Father J. J. Igoe performing the ceremony. Only members of the two fam-S ilies and a few close friends attended. The bride wore a lovely ensemble of heaven blue crepe wittr white accessories and a shoulder corsage at sweetheart roses.

Her only attendant was Mrs. Jerry Van Landingham, sister-in- law of the groom. Mrs. Van Landingham wore a costume of dusty rose crepe with white accessories and a shoulder corsage of pink and lavender sweet Mr, Sistrunk, twin brother of the bride, served as Mr. Van Land- ingham's best man.

After a short wedding trip the young couple will be at home to their many friends at 912 Starling. Mrs. E. M. Burton has just returned from Indianapolis where she attended the wedding of her niece Miss Mary Paxton Young to Durward Kirby.

Store "(JiwiivHIi'V. Ijirsosl Slurc" Miss Young Weds Durward Kirby The marriage of Miss Mary Paxton Young Durward Kirby, both of Chicago, was to take place at noon today in the Indianapolis Athletic club on the anniversary of the bride's parents, Mr, and Mrs. Frank W. Young, 1 W. 28th street.

Mr. Kirby is the son of Mr. and Mrs. U. C.

Kirby, 534 E. 61st street. A pre-dieu of white satin, covered with white satin pillows and green garlands, was to be placed in the Palm Room of tht club for the ceremony and surrounded with palms and ferns, two seven-branch candelabra and large vases of flowers. Dale Young, organist, was to play preceding and during the ceremony, which was to be read by the Rev. Fr.

Clement M. Bosler. Robert Pace was to sing Mrs. Ralph Coble was to be Miss Young's only attendant. She was to wear a gown of aqua marquisette with lace inserts in the shirred bodice and full skirt.

With it she was to have a large matching picture hat, with velvet streamers in darker aqua, and a bouquet of Briar Cliff roses. Harold Klaine of Ft. Thomas, Ky, was to be Mr. Kirby's best man and ushers were to be Ned LeFevre and William Kiley. Mr.

Young was to give iiis daughter ih marriage. To Wear Net White net over satin was to form the bridal gown, which was to have a long molded bodice with a shirred sheer yoke and short puffed sleeves, a very full skirt and a long sweeping train encrusted with satin bows. Miss Young's veil of bridal illusion was to be fingertip length and was to be held by satin bows matching those on the gown. She was to wear a strand of pearls, and carry a white lace handkerchief used by her mother, her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Noland Paxton, and her great-Grandmother at their weddings.

The bridal bouquet was to be of white orchids, gardenias, stephanotis and bouvardia. The mother of the bride chosen a long gown of light blue chiffon and a. matching braid hat with velvet bows. Mrs. Kirby's gown blue lace was to be worn with a hat of rose pmk, trimmed with blue maline bows.

Both were to have orchid corsages. For the reception in the Green Room of the Athletic club immediately following the ceremony, the wedding cake was to be on a table decorated with garlands of greenery and summer flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Kirby are leaving on a short wedding "trip and will be at home next week at the Campus Towers 1033 Loyola avenue, Chicago.

The bride's traveling costume will be a dusty rose corded silk suit with white accessories and a corsage of orchids. Out of town guests at the ceremony were to be Mrs. E. Shenhan-Ray Wedding Rites On Sunday June first Miss Ladell Ray, charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Ray of Wesson, became the bride of Mershall Sherman, son of Mr.

and Mrs. D. J. Sherman. The wedding ceremony was performed by Father J.

J. Igoe in the rectory of the Catholic church. The bride wore a lovely dress of pink chiffon and a shoulder corsage of sweetheart roses. Her hat and accessories were of white. Mrs.

George Sherman served as matron of honor. Her costume was a brown printed silk and her accessories were white. She wore a corsage of sweet peas and dou- Wc petunias. George Sherman, brother of the groom-was the best man. Immediately following the ceremony the young couple left for a.n extended trip to the Gult Coast, New Orleans and poinls of interest in Florida.
