Friday at Chapel In The Pines Funeral Home. Poe, Lydia Ann, 104, died March 1. Services 2 p.m. Friday Dunnebacke, Howard A. East Lansing Age 91, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002; born in Lansing, Michigan on January 31, 1911.

He lived in the East Lansing area most of his life. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1929 and was employed by the General Motors Research Lab in Detroit. He enrolled at Detroit City College night school. However, his college and work at General Motors were short lived because of the Great Depression of 1929.

On January 12, 1982 he married Marjorie Skinner of Providence, RI and East Lansing. She preceded him in death as did his first wife, Lucile whom he married on November 7, 1942, 2 brothers, Walter and Robert and sister, Margaret Schultz. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was a charter member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a charter member of the Volunteer Escort service of St.

Lawrence Hospital. Early in 1930 he served on the Great Lakes as a deck hand aboard a freighter. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. on April 24, 1933 and served on the battleship USS New Mexico. He received a medical survey with excellent character from the United States Shore Patrol on November 16, 1942 and was honorably discharged on January 14, 1946 as a Chief Petty American Officer.

He was awarded the Theater Good Conduct and Victory Medals. In September of 1935 he enlisted in the Michigan State Police and returned after World War II. After serving twenty-five years, he retired on October 9, 1960 as commanding officer of the White Pigeon Post. He received a citation for meritorious service. In 1960, he served as an investigator for the Friend of the Court, Ingham County and retired in 1976 after seventeen years of service.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 15, 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing with the Rev. David J. Speicher, Pastor, officiating. There will be no visitation.

Those desiring may make contributions to American heart Association, Memorial Tribute there Program, Chicago, IL 60678-3968 in memory of Mr. Dunnebacke. Young, Frances E. Holt Age 83, passed away Tuesday March 12, 2002. Frances was a nurses' aide member of Jehovah's Witnesses associated with the Holt congregation.

Preceded in death by her husband William Foster Young and her parents Eveline and Henry Willis Jr. Survived by step-children and one sister. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Chapel In The Pines Funeral Home with visitation starting at 12:00 Noon. Interment Eastlawn Memory Gardens.

Saturday at Nashville Baptist FUNERALS Dunham, Casey W. East Lansing East Lansing Age 73, died March 12, 2002. Born February 14, 1929 in Newberry, MI and attended Cheboygan High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, serving with the Seabees and the U.S.

Naval Mobil Construction Battalion 3. He was a residential builder, bricklayer and stone mason and a member of the Carpenters Union Local He enjoyed hunting, fishing and coin collecting. He was preceded, in and death 2 by brother, his Clyde wife, and Francis. Surviving are 1 daughter, Joni Linn Linville of Mt. Pleasant; 1 son, Roger (Leslie) Dunham of East Lansing; 5 grandchildren, roger, Denise, Kasey, James and Audra; 1 brother, Donald Dunham of Topinabee, MI; 1 sister, Nettie Bell Vance of Lansing; several nieces and nephews.

Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48915 in memory of Mr. Dunham. Kresky, John G. Lansing Age 91, died March 10, 2002. Born July 29, 1910, Mr.

Kresky attended Lansing Eastern High School. He retired from Oldsmobile after 30 years of service and enjoyed traveling, fishing, sports and his workshop. He accepted and believed dearly in his Savior and was a lifetime member of South Baptist Church where, over the years, he served as Deacon, Trustee and member of various church groups. His wife, Anna, parents and siblings, Otto, William, Edith and Mary, preceded him in death. Surviving are his brother, Carl, his children, John Gordon (Sandie) Kresky of Virginia Beach, VA and his daughter, JoAnn Kresky of Lansing, grandchildren, James Kresky of Virginia Beach, VA and Kimberly (Byron) Rueb of Ashley, ND, and great- grandson, AJ Rueb of Ashley, ND, sisters-in-law, Ann Daniels, Ann Sakresky and Virginia (Glenn) Lacey, along with many nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2002, at Noon at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing with Rev. David D. Brooks and the Rev.

Lewis Wood of Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to South Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Kresky.

Derengoski passed away on March 12, 2002. Mr. Derengoski was born September 25, 1916 in Grand Rapids, MI. The following year the family moved to Manistee where his father owned and operated Billy's Clothes Shop, a men's clothing store. He graduated from Manistee High School where he was active in sports and drama.

In 1938, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame and went on to earn his law degree in 1940. He married Dorothy Wallace in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army for five years during WWII, including a tour duty in the Phillipines. He received the Bronze Star.

When he returned from the war, he went to work for the State of Michigan in many capacities. Mr. Derengoski was Assistant Attorney General in 1949 and went on to become legal advisor to former Governors G. Mennen Williams and John B. Swainson.

In 1964, Mr. Derengoski was the Democratic candidate for Lt. Governor. Following the election he went back to job as Solicitor General for the State of Michigan from 1965 until his retirement in 1982. During that time he appeared before the U.S.

Court of Appeals in Cincinnati and the U.S. Supreme Court. He was a brilliant lawyer with a fine legal mind. He was a member of the American Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association, the American Legion, the Elks, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Mr. Derengoski was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Jerome Deren. He is survived by William Derengoski and a a a a brother, his wife of sixty years, Dorothy; six children, William (Joy) of Williamston, Sue (Peter) Bumpus of Brighton, Tom (Vickie) of Lansing, Anne and Jean of East Lansing, and Sally of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Esther of Hesslin Manistee of and Dorothy (Daniel) Manistee; six grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren of whom he was so proud. Bob suffered courageously the last few years and the family wishes to thank the many healthcare providers who cared for him with tenderness and sensitivity. Bob loved his family, his church, his work, and the University of Notre Dame.

His life will be celebrated at the Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, March 16, at Noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Road, East Lansing. The family will receive friends the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 PM.

Egan was born December 1, 1919 in Lansing the daughter of Arthur J. Helen C. (Starr) Gutzki. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Holy Rosary Circle and Altar Society. She retired in 1986 from the Waverly Public Schools as a Secretary at the High School.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Barney in 1998 and a special friend and sister in law Mary Starr. She is survived by her children Michael (Sharan), Patrick, Helen all of Lansing, Bernard (Michele) of St. Paul, MN, Mary (Gary) DuBois of Eagle, Robert of McKenzie Bridge, OR, Elizabeth (Mark) Esch of De Witt; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Ben, Abby, Meghan, Christine, Katherine, Bernadette, Michaela and Jacob Egan; Amanda, Joshua, Anthony Esch, 2 sister in laws and special friends Anne and Agnes Egan both of Lansing and many loving nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the Lansing Country Club. She was predeceased by her husbands: Burt Darling (longtime State Journal writer), William Wickham and Thomas Bowles; and a sister Winogene Hoyle. She is survived by her children Linda (Richard) Netzloff of Okemos, John Darling Ashland, OR, Joan Darling (William) Jones of Portland, OR, Kathy (Cris) Telgard of Leland, Mary Ellen Darling of Palo, Mich.
