Elsewhere Atherton, Janet 62, of Barryton, formerly of David Charles Butler Laingsburg, Ml Age 77, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing. David was born on July 21, 1930 in Ann Arbor to Emory Charles and Gladys May (Moore) Butler. On February 18, 1957 he married Peggy Butler in Lansing, MI and she preceded him in death on October 7, 2007. David served in the U.S.

Navy as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer. He was retired from General Motors-Plant 6 and was a member of Local 602. David was very active in his church and loved working on family history and Genealogy. He is survived by nine children, Lynn (KayC) Butler of LaBarge, WY, Cathleen Miller of Cadillac, Steve (Meg) Butler of Tecumseh, David (Liz) Butler of Laingsburg, Diana (Joe) Kuerth of Alpena, Erin (Richard) Pack of Winchester, KY, Patrick (Christine) Butler of Eastpointe, MI, Marie (Kevin) Linden of Westland and Melanie (Charles) Mull of Reston, VA; 39 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren; brother, Dean (Sharon) Worrall of St.

Johns; and sister, Diana (Jim) Cathy of Florida. He was predeceased by his brother, William Butler and beloved stepfather, Henry Worrall. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1588 N. Hickory Owosso at 3:00 p.m. Family will meet with friends on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

An angel on earth, Dorothy touched so many hearts with her very caring and compassionate spirit. She was well known for her constant smile, kindness, wisdom and optimistic attitude who always stood strong in her faith.

She loved to attend family gatherings and to visit with friends. She enjoyed eating out and loved country music, especially Johnny Cash. Earlier, when she was able, Dorothy very much enjoyed reading many different cookbooks ana experimenting with new recipes. She was an exceptional cook who enjoyed whenever she could use or share her skills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Espinoza, in 2006, and grandson David Mercer.

Surviving are daughters, Janie Sims, Kathy (Steve) Mercer, Marlene (Keith) Jackson, Debby (Scott) Bates and Linda Hartline; son, Richard Kemp; stepdaughter, Donna Hiser; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom each and every one Dorothy held dear to her heart. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 at Gorsline Runciman uneral Homes, 205 E. Middle Street, Williamston with the Rev. Bobbie Weller of Blue Sky Ministries officiating. Lyle worked for the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture and retired in 1997 after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizette (Waterhouse) Swain; his special loving mother, Blanche Robinson; and parents, Archie and Ethel Swain.

Michigan, Lansing For Hildred Schweiter Bratzler Edlin 1909-2007 Hildred Edlin, of Sun City, Arizona, and formerly of Okemos, Michigan, passed away on October 17, 2007 in Sun 1 City, Arizona. I Mrs.

Edlin was born on July 4, 1 1909 in Wichita, Kansas to Bertha and Otto Schweiter. She was descended from one of the pioneer families, the Schweiters, of Wichita, Kansas. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Wichita East High School. After attending Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, she enrolled at Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas, where she earned Bachelor (1931) and Master of Science (1933) degrees in bacteriology. A member of Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, she was honored in 2006 on the occasion of the Diamond Anniversary of her membership and recognized for her living embodiment of their highest ideal, "To Live for Each Other." In 2006 she also was recognized at her 75th year K-State class reunion which she attended in person in Manhattan, Kansas.

Married in 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to Lyman Jacob Bratzler, originally of Barring-ton, Illinois, and who died 1976, she is survived by 4 children: John H. Bratzler, Thousand Oaks, California, Kathryn J. Riedel, Lafayette, Louisiana, Robert L. Bratzler, Concord, Massachusetts, and Mary Pruss, Lake Orion, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Eunice L.

Nixon, Wichita, Kansas; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Larry was born August 14, 1950 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Craft) MacQueen. He completed his undergraduate work at Central Michigan University and earned his Ph.D.

from Michigan State University. Larry's mission was to help children and teachers be the best that they could be. Larry taught high school in Grand Blanc and was the youngest middle school principal for the district. He later served as Superintendent in the Kearsley and Dryden School Districts and finally the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources for the Lansing School District. Larry switched hats with his employment with the Michigan Education Association.

Through any negotiations, Larry always wanted all parties to come out fair and even resolution. He enjoyed the experience of teaching school law classes at Grand Valley State University and Michigan State University. Larry had a passion for photography. He could see the natural beauty of landscapes and had an affinity for Michigan lighthouses. He enjoyed teaching his son the game of golf (until his son became better than him).

He and his daughter also enjoyed horseback riding together (until she, too, became more proficient). Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike. Surviving are his loving wife, Karen; children, Patrick (Jenny) of Phoenix, Arizona and Kelly (Fran) Jewison of Savannah, Georgia; brother, Tom (Karen) of New Baltimore, MI; sister-in-law, Diane MacQueen of Flint; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive. A Celebration of Larry's life will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Holt Chapel, 5035 Holt Holt, MI.

A gathering for family and friends begins Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
