Although Bernice was divorced, she still remained very dear friends with her ex-husband, Kenneth Odom. Bernice was a long time resident of Beech Haven NJ, but recently resided with relatives in Ambler and Horsham PA. Bernice passed away peacefully at Warminster Hospice.

CYNTHIA 54, a longtime resident of Montgomeryville PA, passed away March 10, 2010, in Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital, following a lengthy fight with cancer. Born on Nov.

28, 1955 in Hicksville OH, she was the daughter of Phyllis and Jim Sipe. Professionally, Dr. Sipe (Cindy) was an accomplished sociologist who specialized in the evaluation of social policy initiatives. As such, her work made significant contributions to the fields of youth development, mentoring, and educational reform. She was the principal investigator for numerous studies for major foundations as well as for the U.S.

Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, and Labor, authoring a number of articles and reports on this work. Cindy earned her Master's and Doctoral degrees at Indiana University, and her BA in sociologyanthropology at Carleton College. She started her professional career in Philadelphia, in 1986 at Public Private Ventures where she quickly advanced to Assessment and Policy Development and Youth Development Strategies, Inc. Most recently, she served as Director of Research for Branch Associates, Inc. We remember her as the consummate professional that she was smart, dedicated and hardworking, she embodied the best of our profession.

She will be remembered as a loyal colleague, mentor and friend. She also enjoyed playing Tennis, traveling and hanging out at the shore with her friends and family.
