Wyczawski Deckerville Father Stanley, A. Wyczawski, entered" of Deckerville, into eternal life on Friday, July 11, 2008 following a long illness. He was born October 3, 1946 in Detroit son of the late Stanley J. and Johanna E. (Jeziak) Wyczawski.

Father Wyczawski was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on February 2, 1973. He served as associate pastor at St. Veronica, East Detroit; St. Rene Goupil, Sterling Heights; and Lawrence in Utica. He served as pastor at St.

Anne, Ortonville; St. Anne, Warren; St. Lawrence, Utica; St. Ireneaus, Rochester Hills; and St. Mary Parish in Port Huron.

He is survived his sister, Louise (Kenneth) Maes of Simpsonville, South Carolina; nephews, Jeremy (Melodie) Maes of Greenville, South Carolina and Jason (Stephanie) Maes of Mattawan, MI; uncle, Carl Wyczawski, of New Ulm, MN; cousin, Walter (Margaret) Filipiak of Deckerville; and numerous other cousins and friends. Visiting hours are 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Sunday and 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Father Wyczawski will lie in state on Tuesday at St.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Danny.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Smith Family Funeral Home North, 1525 Hancock Street with the Rev. Fr. Brian Cokonougher of Holy Trinity Catholic Church officiating. A graveside commit- tal service will follow at Our Lady of Mt.

Cecil was a 60-year member of Bethel Pentecostal Church, a WWII veteran having served with the Royal Canadian Navy, and a retiree of Imperial Oil. Beloved husband of Jean Valetta (McGregor) Hannan for 60 years. Much loved father of Dou- Port Huron Robert A. Nichols, 76, of Port Huron, died Friday, July 11, 2008 of natural causes.

He was born February 20, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Carson and Louise Nichols. He married Louise Rotenheber on August 29, 1969 in Port Huron. Mr. Nichols retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years of service.

He enjoyed going to the horse track. He is survived by his wife, Louise; seven children, Penny (Jim) Gibson, Robert Nichols John (Lori) Nichols, Barbara Wilson, Terry Fuller, David Nichols and Mary Gardner; grandchildren; twelve greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Shirley) Nichols and Carson "Al" (Kathy) Nichols; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Nichols. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday in PollockRandall Funeral Home followed by a service at 4:00 p.m.

Aleta ate was Bartlett born on April 19, 1930 in Port Huron. Roy married Edna Pierce on June 13, 1953 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Emmett.

He was a 1948 graduate of Port Huron High School where he played on the 1947 championship football team. Roy was a Michigan Golden Gloves heavyweight champion in He served in the United States Army. McDonald, 88, of Port Huron, died Sunday, July 13, 2008. She was born May 12, 1920 in Ohio to the late Harry and Lucy Folsom. Mrs. McDonald had worked for Marysville Plastics. She volunteer grandparent and also rang bell for the Salvation Army.

Brewer, 61, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 12, 1946 in Port Huron to John and the late Thelma Loxton. Mrs. Brewer was a dietary aide at the Evangelical Home in Fort Gratiot. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, arts and crafts, collecting angel figurines and playing video games with her grandchildren.

She also years played the dulcimer for the Port Huron Museum Pioneer Days. She is survived by four ch children, Robert (Cheryl) Burkett of Kimball Township, Mary (Edward) Millican of Texas, Mellisa (William) Tesnovich of Port Huron and Jason (Christina MacKenzie) Brewer of Port 14 grandchildren, Sarah (Richard) Jewell, Victoria, Karla and Kurtis Burkett, Heather, Ryan, Nan- cy and Grace Millican, Kayla and Jennifer Lowe, Matthew Tesnovich, Jenna, Alyssa and Jason Brewer a greatgranddaughter, Natalie Jewell; a brother, John Thomas (Darlene). To send condolences and messages, of sympathy, visit marysvillefuneralhome.com More obituaries, death notices, Page 9A DEATHS ELSEWHERE Dave Ricketts, 73 former coach PITTSBURGH Longtime St. Louis Cardinals coach Dave Ricketts, who played on their 1967 World Series championship team, died early Sunday. He was 73.

Ricketts' family informed the Cardinals, who were playing in Pittsburgh, ofhis death. He had been battling cancer and living in St. Louis. Ricketts was a reserve catcher, who played sparingly for the Cardinals in 1963, '65 and '67-69. He was traded to the Pirates in 1970, his final season in the majors.

He played 130 major league games and hit .249 with one home run. He became a coach for the Pirates in 1971. He had two stints as a Cardinals coach, first from 1974-75, then from 1978-91. He also was a minor league instructor for the team. Ricketts played college basketball at Duquesne, averaging 17.9 points and shooting 86.2% from the free throw line in 1956-57.
