Lake Village Cotillion has its spring ball LAKE VILLAGE, Ark--The Lake Village Junior Cotillion held its spring semi-formal ball on May 21 at the National Guard Armory. Col. Paul Home served as master of ceremonies for the presentation of members.

Music was by the "Witch Hang'n." The ballroom was decorated with lighted hanging lanterns with urns of red and pink carnations at points around the room. Swags of ivy interspersed with pink carnations were also hung at vantage points and a backdrop of wisteria flanked the serving table centered with a tiered candelabrum. The cotillion members presented three numbers for the parents and invited guests: a waltz, the cha-cha and the modern dance of today. The cotillion was directed by Almyra Jackson, assisted by Jack Jackson. Mrs.

Tom Pugh. Miss June Holbrook was the weekend guest of rela lives in Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sellers spent Sunday visiting relatives in Louisiana.

Mr. and Mrs. Lesley Muzzi spent the weekend in Memphis where they attended the wedding of their granddaughter Vickie Lynn Hamilton, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Thomas Hamilton.

They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Vito Durastanti, Kenneth and Susan, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Boyd Muzzi and Michael, and Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Reginelli and Miss Jiselle Reginelli. Mr. and Mrs. Asa Atkinson were in French 'Camp on Wednesday and again on Thursday where they attended funeral services for 'Beryl Thomas.

Alton Washington has returned from spending two weeks in Greenville, S. C. with her daughter Miss Charlotte Washington. Miss Joel Ballard of Batesville, a former Shaw resident visited friends and relatives on Monday. Mr.

and Mrs. Arthur Smith are in Paducah, where they are visiting relatives. Dr. and Mrs. J.

G. Peeler went to Jackson on Saturday to be with Mrs. Peeler's sister Mrs. Ralph Bell and Mr. Bell.

Their son Ralph Allen Bell was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. A. A.

Cordill of Birmingham came on Saturday for a visit with their daughter Mrs. Joe Glenn Peller Jr. and Dr. PellerJr. Mr.

and Mrs. Larry Chiz spent Saturday night and Sunday in Memphis where they attended the "Shower of Stars" at the Coliseum. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kaigler spent from, Monday to Saturday in Jackson in the home of Mr.

and Mrs. Gary Salter and daughters Kay and Gay Salter. Mrs. Salter underwent surgery in a Jackson hospital on Monday. Mr.

and Mrs. Kenneth Pollard and children of Jackson were weekend visitors in the home of Mrs. Alvin Pollard and Linda Pollard. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs; Marlou Montesi, Miss Sammye' Ann Montesi and Mrs.

Charlie Venuti went to Oxford where they attended graduation exercises at Ole Miss. Miss Marilou Montesi was a member of the graduating class. Fourteen members of the American Legion Auxiliary met for a Dutch supper at How Joy's restaurant in Greenville on Thursday night. New officers were installed at the meeting. They are, president, Mrs.

Charlie Venuti; vice president, Mrs. Amsie Jones; treasurer, Mrs. Lloyd Cissell; recording secretary, Mrs. Feliz Sweatt and corresponding secretary, Mrs. Marlou Montesi.

The club will resume meeting in September. Mrs. Robert Hayes accompanied Mrs. Doug Kimbrell of Cleveland and Mrs. Alan Riekhof of Starkville to Memphis on Monday for a shopping trip.

They returned home on Tuesday. Mrs. J. F. Brown drove to Clinton on Wednesday and was accompanied home by her daughter Wanda Tollison who is a student at Mississippi College.

Miss Tollison will be employed at the East Bolivar County Hospital in Cleveland for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Stancill of Drew were guests of Mr. Stancill's sister Mrs.

Charles Collier on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Woodrick of Hattiesburg announce the birth of a daughter born on Sunday, May 23 in a Hattiesburg hospital. She has been named Dana Kay and joins a brother Walter.

Mrs. Tom Lamb is the maternal grandmother and left on Saturday for Hattiesburg for an extended visit with her daughter and family.
