The orchestra also presented a special concert Wednesday afternoon in the Desmond theater for some 1,100 school children. Organized 94 years- ago, the Denver Symphony has come to be known as the nation's greatest, "under the direction of Saul Caston, -one of American's most distinguished conductors.

Mr. Caston came to the Denver Symphony in 1945 after an outstanding career with other well-Iknown orchestras. Born in New -York City, he took trumpet from Max Schlessberg, -when he was eight years old.
