In the Matter of the Estate of Isabella Lees, Incompetent Justin B. Kells, guardian, having filed in said Court his petition, praying for license to sell the interest of said estate Intermediates or one troop of Seniors. Brownies are seven to nine years of age: Intermediates 10 to 14, and Seniors 15 through 17. All leaders must be approved by the District Association and Area Board. TROOP Committees are groups of three five adults representing a cross-section of the community and with as wide a range of interests as possible.

This is the group standing squarely behind each troop to see that the troop has leadership, a good place to meet and ways and means to carry out the kind of program the girls want. It is strongly recommended that each troop be sponsored by a club or organization, in order to widen the base of community backing. Direct supervision of troops is a responsibility delegated to the several districts by the Area Council. This involves help for leaders on the job, and is done by the professional worker and Volunteer Supervisors, at the request of the District. District Associations also see to it that all leaders have access to training courses, both before they start work with a troop, and from time to time while on the job.

Training is given by the profession al worker and Volunteer Trainers. THE RESPONSIBILITY for see ing to it that every troop leader ship group has the necessary publications and program resources for good program, rests with the District Association, and is par tially delegated to the Troop Com mittees. In order that the District Asso ciation and the Area Board may know where and what kind of help Is needed, girl planning boards representative of the troops, Leaders' Clubs made up of all leaders in the district, and the District Boards, meet regularly -to discuss problems, make plans, request help. The professional worker meets with these groups when requested. District Chairmen sit on the Area Board to be sure their dis tricts' needs are being cared for.

District Boards meet monthly ex cepting when the District Associa tion meets. The Associations are made up of all registered adults within- the district.
