Kivel. 74, of 1217 Kearney Street, who died Saturday in Port Huron after an illness of five months, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elliot Funeral Home. Rev. Ben J.

Hollis, pastor of Washington Avenue Methodist Church, will officiate. Mr. Kivel, who lived in Port Huron for 60 years, retired from the Detroit Edison Company in 1952 after 32 years of service. He was born July 8,. 1887, near Cass City.

He and Miss Beatrice J. Hunter were married July 1, 1926. Mr. Kivel is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Parsons, London, and Mrs.

Joseph Malik, Lakeview, a son, Vern W. Kivel, Port Huron; a sister, Mrs. Louise Cockrill, Port Huron; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Arthur B. Cockrill, Walter P.

Stevens, Corliss M. Kivel, Roy L. Kitchen, John G. Nicholas. and Henry F.

Schroeder will be pallbearers. Burial will be in Lakeside' Cemetery. Mrs. Gertrude Mowery Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Mowery, 71, who died Friday in her home at 718 Superior Street after a brief illness, will be at 9:30 a.m.

Monday in the Pollock-Jowett Funeral Home. Rev. Earl C. Willer, pastor of St." Martin's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Mrs.

Mowery was Port Huron resident for 15 years. She was born May 28, 1890, in Silverton, and attended schools there. She is survived by a brother, Myron Henry, Durango, sister, Mrs. Mildred Ashbaugh, Denver, and several nieces and nephews. The remains are in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery. Mrs. Anna Ritter Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Ritter, 12404 Westphalia Street, Detroit, who died unexpectedly Friday night in her home, will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, on Gratiot Avenue near Six Mile Road.

Mrs. Ritter was the wife of Casper Ritter, and the mother of Rev. Edward J. Ritter, former assistant pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church here.

She came came to Port Huron often to visit her son and was well known here Mrs. Ritter died the day before her sixty eighth birthday. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Father Ritter, now chaplain at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit; Casper J. Ritter, and William: Ritter: and daughter, Mrs.

Richard (Margaret) Houlihan. The remains are in the DeSantis Funeral Home, at Charlevoix and Chalmers Streets in Detroit. Howard Shepherd Funeral services for Howard Shepherd, 78, an area resident for 60 years, who died Saturday, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Pollock-Jowett Funeral Home. Rev.

Joseph Ragland, pastor of the First Church of God, will officiate. Mr. Shepherd died in the home of his sister, Mrs. John Heering 1536 Henry Street, Saturday morning after a short illness. He was born June 21.

1883, in Harbor Beach. Mr. Shepherd was member of Huronia Lodge 371, IO0F; Canton Huron No. 15, Patriarchs Militant. 100F: and the Golden Agers Club of the Salvation Army.

Mr. Shepherd was a retired marine engineer. He served aboard the steamship Jupiter. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Heering; a sister-in-law, Mrs.

Jennie Shepherd, Detroit; a niece and three nephews. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Arthur G. Webster Funeral services for Arthur G. Webster. 807 Erie Street, who died Friday in Port Huron Hospital, will be at 9 a.m.
