To fax please through the following day's publication. James Carroll Duncan James Carroll "J.C." Duncan, age 74, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009, in his home. He was born May 19, 1934, in Exeter, Missouri the son of Henry Duncan and Anna (Reed) Duncan. On June 4, 1955, he was united in marriage to Patty Jean Killion, who survives. He is also survived by son, Terry Duncan of Cassville; daughter, Dianna Duncan Atnip and her husband, Doyle Atnip of Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Carol Roller and her husband, Kevin Roller of Purdy, Missouri; two very special grandsons, Mason and Phillip Roller; a sister-in-law, Pauline Duncan of Cassville; a sister-in-law and her husband, Nancy and Tom Graham of Springfield, Missouri, and a special nephew, Ron Duncan and his wife, Theresa of Springdale, Arkansas.

J.C. received his education in Wheaton, Missouri. After graduating from High School, he attended University of Tulsa where he played basketball and was a member of the 1954-55 Hall of Fame Team. He began coaching at Cassville in 1956, where he taught for -one years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cassville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cecil Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Cassville First Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend James Weaver, Pastor Doyle Russell and Jason Mackey will conduct the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.

Mary Pauline Higgins Mary Pauline Higgins parted this life at her home in Lockwood, Missouri Friday March 6 at the age 90 years and six months. She was a member of the First Christian Church Lockwood. Mary Pauline was born in Neola, Missouri to Judge Euriel Hickman and Mary Jane Campbell Hickman.

She was united in marriage to James Higgins of Arcola, Missouri who preceded her in death in 1991. Jane is survived by her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Hayes Tucker; six children, David Hill and wife, Vickie of Bentonville, Mike Hill and wife, Jeanne of Springfield, Patrick Hill and wife, Michelle of Larkspur, Paul Tucker of Orlando, Lynn Benson of Minneapolis, and Holly White and husband, Mike of Galesburg, eleven grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Jo Ann Hobart and her husband, Pete of Albuquerque, N.M., and Barbara Weems of Springfield. Jane is also survived by countless other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Chuck Hill. Jane was blessed with a remarkable life.

She treasured time with her family and friends, she loved traveling, spending time outdoors, was active in her church, and extremely strong in her faith. Jane embodied a rare combination of charm, strength, determination, elegance, understanding, humor, insightfulness and selflessness. Her knowing smile and infectious laugh is unmatched; she will be greatly missed and a continual inspiration to those of us fortunate enough to have known and loved her. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m.

Jane Lee Tucker, 79, see obituary. LAMAR Mr. Cortis Tay O'Connor, 38, Pugh Funeral Home. Mayme Eugenia (Bridges) Fortner May me Eugenia (Bridges) Fortner, 92, was born near Willard, on November 8, 1916. She lived as a homemaker in and around Willard her whole life.

Mayme graduated from Willard High School in 1927, and married Clay Fortner in 1937. Clay and Mayme Jean attended Rose Hill Baptist Church, and following Clay's death, Mayme Jean joined the Willard Presbyterian Church. For 30 years, she volunteered at Cox Hospital. Mayme Jean died at home on March 8, 2009. She will be greatly missed.

Mayme Jean is survived by one son, Wayne and his wife Crystal of Willard, and one granddaughter, Tara Fortner of Springfield. She is also survived by a sister and brother-inlaw, Margaret and Jack Allison of Belvidere, Illinois; a brother and sisterin-law, John and Sandy Bridges of Princeton, lowa, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at 9 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Her final resting place will be Rose Hill Cemetery north of Willard.

Opal G. Kerans Opal G. Kerans, Crane, MO, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009, in her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 89. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Hicks; husband, Lloyd; son, Ted; daughter, Patsy; two grand-daughters, Tracy Fugitt and Shannon Metcalf; great -grandson, Noah Allen Chapman; five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include: two sons, Noel and wife, Bobbie of Billings and Neal and wife, Brenda of Wichita, two daughters, Anna Fugitt and husband, Jack of Crane and Joy Wilson and husband, Allen of Crane; son-in-law, Jerry Sowell of Republic; daughter-in-law, Janice Estes of Galena; sister-in-law, Inez Hicks of Crane; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 6 great-greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009, in Manlo ve-Stumpff Chapel, Crane with burial in Galena Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Season's Hospice. 8, Mildred Jean Kindall, passed away in her sleep on March 8, 2009, in the Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark, Missouri. She was 85.

Mildred was a devoted mother and homemaker who helped her husband, Charles Denzil Kindall, start Harding- Kindall Glass, which later became Kindall Glass. She was born and raised in Fordland, Mo. by her parents Pleas and Gussie Smith. She said she knew she was going to marry Denzil the first time she saw him walking down the street in Fordland. They were wed before he left for WWII and the couple had three sons.

Mildred liked gardening, reading and making beautiful quilts, but her life was her family. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and a volunteer at Burge Hospital. She and Charles were members of the Rogersville Rednecks Shriners, a group of good friends who knew how to have a good time. Charles died in 2003. Mildred is survived by two sons, James Kindall of Huntington, N.Y.

and his wife, Jonalyn Schuon, Alan Kindall of Ozark, Mo. and his wife, Debbie Kindall; two sisters, Joan Mack of Springfield and Nancy Miller of Wichita; six grandchildren: Joshua Kindall, Jacquelyn Kindall, Elizabeth Kindall, Lola Kindall, Charles Kindall, Ill and Tina Kindall and two great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ozark Riverview Manor for their care and love in Mildred's last years. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, in Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fordland Cemetery. Reverend David William Bills Reverend David William Bills, 63, of Neosho, was called home by his heavenly Father, Saturday, March 7, 2009, following a sudden illness.

He was born August 21, 1945, in Corning, N.Y to William and Neoma Bills. He grew up in Springfield, and graduated from Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho, Mo. Throughout his life, he pastored several churches in the three state area. His 30 year ministry will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. He also retired as a logistics coordinator for Sam's Club following 15 years of faithful service.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda, of nearly 45 years and 3 daughters and their spouses, Rodney and Mary Jackson, Randy and Cheri McMullin, and Robert and Aleta Evans; two brothers, Daniel Bills and Paul Bills; one sister, Mary Shockley; 7 grand children and 3 great grand-children. A celebration of Life for Rev. David Bills will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 2 p.m,. at the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church in Neosho, Missouri. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in the Walker- Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri, 6 p.m until 8 p.m.

Mathew Scott Hogan George Ralph "Jake" Mathew Scott Hogan, 34, Stowe of Rogersville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009, in his home. Matthew was born on March 1, 1975, in Carlinville, Illinois to Martin and Nema "Nix" Hogan. Matthew had been a warehouse manager and driver for a screen printing company in Kansas City.

Matthew was married to Jennifer Lynn "Earring" on December 21, 2002, and she survives of Blue Springs, Mo. Also surviving is his mother, Nema Hogan of Springfield, a son, Andrew Hogan of Springfield, a step son, Joseph Roy of Blue Springs, two daughters, Madison Hogan of Springfield, and Lillian Hogan of Blue Springs, two brothers, Patrick Hogan of Sunny Dale, N.Y., and Nathan Hogan of Springfield, one sister, Jennifer Sliger and husband, Charles of Springfield, -law, Wesley Earring of Independence, and mother-in-law, Annette Salinas of Austin, Texas. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorial service will be at 6 p.m, Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Preston-Marsh Funeral Home Chapel, Rogersville, Mo. Visitation will follow.

Willard B. Bishop Willard B. Bishop, of Springfield, departed this life on Sunday, March 8, 2009, in the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, at the age of 78 years. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Maple Grove Cemetery in Sylvania, with Chaplain Michael Kanai officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel. a George Ralph "Jake" Stowe was born to Austin and Lennie Stowe on September 30, 1912, in Oldfield, and departed this life on March 8, 2009, in Cox South Hospital. Jake was joined in holy matrimony to Lela Aliene Henley on January 18, 1941, in Cassville, Mo.

Born to this union, one daughter, Betty Gay (Stowe) Gordon. Jake liked to travel the country in his younger years. He worked in the ship yard during WWII, helped build Bagnell Dam, and worked as a Millwright during construction of SW Power Plant in Springfield. He loved to fish and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. Jake was a long time member of S.

Sunshine Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aliene, on June 2, 2005, and his daughter, Betty Gordon on May 29, 2007. Survivors include a sonin-law, Beryl Gordon of Raymore, one step grandson, Christopher Gordon and wife Lori; and two step-grandchildren, Collin and Bridget Gordon, all of Kirkwood, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. Services will be at 3 p.m.

March 11, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home East with burial in Smith Cemetery, Rogersville, Mo. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
