-10 THE INTER LAKE, Sunday, November 24, 1957 Montanans in Uniform WILLIAM ROATH Second Lt. William Roath left Tuesday to report to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Tex., for flight training. Lt. Roth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. \V. R o a t h of Creston. He if a 1953 graduate of Flathead County High School and received a degree from Montana State College in June. He was commissioned as a second l i e u t e n a n t on grad- u a t i o n and completion of training in the AFROTC program at MSC in Bozewan. He was accompanied to Texas ty his w i f e and their son. He was! accompanied by A. 1C. Sterling Palmer. A.2C. -Joe Montatoya and A.2C. Donald Sagen. All are stationed at Fairchild Air Base near Spokane. JAMES E. IIRUBY BAMBERG, Germany -- Army Pfc. James E. Hruby Jr., 24, son of Mrs. Cuma Viola Mesler, 119 First St. West, Whitefish, recently participated in a two-day field training exercise with the 10th Division's 29th Infantry in Germany. Hruby, who arrived overseas last January, is an automatic rifleman in the infantry's Company C. Before entering the Army in July 1956, he attended Shelby High School and worked for the Marais River Electric Co. in Shelby. Chest Drive Ends, Reaches $20,000 With approximately .$20.000. or 80 per cent of the announced goal, the KalJspeli Community Chest drive is at the end of the f u n d campaign, according to Chairman M. C. Roberts. The S20.000 is an estimate that includes .the funds gathered by 13 workers who had not yet reported what they had received to Mrs. Lorraine Hanchett, secretary, by Friday afternoon. ROBERT R. CRABTREE FORT LAWTON, Wash. -- Army "c. Robert . Crabtree, son of Mr. Mrs. Lester F. Crabtree, Kalispell, recently took part in a special guided missile firing exercise with the 26th Antiaircraft Artillery Group at the Red Canyon Firing Range in New Mexico. · Crabtree is regularly assigned as a radar operator in Battery A of the. group's 433d Battalion at Fort Lawton, Wash. He entered the Army in June, 1956. The 19-year-old soldier is a 1955 graduate of Buffalo High School.
