Editor of Shreveport Times, Dear Sir: I wish you would publish the following article in reply to one referred to and as shown in today's iSNiie of your paper.

ln Justice to all concerned, the article of May 22, 1913. relative to Paul Huberts' death in Jail at Alma, Is misleading and reflecting unjustly upon law-abiding citizens and sworn officers of tho law. This party was indicted, tried for one of the moat heinous crimes known In criminology and convicted of murder in the first degree. To censure the Judge, county attorney and Jury is a travesty on Justice and evidences a desire to shield crime. The good people of this section do not regard as a mockery the trial where twelve honorable, honest and upright farmer sit in Judgment on their oaths in Kansas and agree on first degree murder.

Kindly insert this correction in your paper in an effort to correct wrong Impressions and that the section not be misrepresented. Yours very truly, FAIRNESS, Bernice, May 24. i 2VF.GRO SI'MIAX SCHOOLS. Names of Soloists for Concert to Bo Announced nt Sleeting Tonight. The regular weekly rehearsal of the Choral Union tonight at 'St. Mark's Episcopal Church is expected to bo a more interesting meeting of the organization than usual, owing to the fact that the names of those selected as soloists for the concert will probably be announced. The rehearsals have been going on regulaly ever since the organization of the society several weeks ago. and while the membership Is not large as it might be if musicians of the city were alive to their opportunity, the organization as it now stands forms the muclous of what may very easily become a permanent feature of the muMoal life of the city.

The rehearsal will begin promptly at 7:45 and all members as well as those who have attended only a few of the previous meetings are urged to be present.
