He was born May 13, 1930 in Joliet, the son of Clyde and Mildred (Trask) Reeves. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On August 7, 1955, he and Bonnie Blackburn were married. Mr.

Reeves retired after 47 years of service for Texaco. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; three sons, Gary Reeves and wife Julie, Wesley Chapel, Roger Reeves and wife Kathy, Car-mel, and Brian Reeves and wife LaDonna, Stow, Ohio; six grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Cody, Brittany, Katrina, and Patrick; a sister, Joan Reeves, Lock-port, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Ken and Violet Blackburn, Kimberling City, Harold and Mary Carroll, Springfield, and Luke and Florence Blackburn, Mountain View; an aunt, Elda Rowley, Lockport, and an uncle, Ralph Trask and wife Helen, Camdenton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Joseph Fahl officiating.

Burial will follow with military honors in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons. Mildred M.

Schobert Mildred M. Schobert, 75, of Willow Springs, Missouri, entered the fullness of eternal life on Sunday, December 1, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Florence (Fast) Schobert. Millie graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She then obtained a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and taught junior high school in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Because of her dedication, many students still keep in touch. She moved from Milwaukee to Missouri in 1980 and settled on a farm which she owned jointly with Millicent Kalil. This farm is a favorite gathering place for many family members and their children as well as Millie's many friends. Millie was everyone's favorite aunt. Her interests were many and varied.

Outdoor sporting activities topped the list. She loved to vacation at her cottage in northern Wisconsin, loved fishing trips with her friends and was an enthusiastic bowler for many years and a participant on a champion slow-pitch softball team. In her younger years, she trained German Shepherds and held several records. She joined the Ozarks Festival Choir at its beginning in 1987 and sang in each concert. Her volunteer activities included weekly visitation at Willow Care Nursing Home, Missou-rians United to Combat Hunger, Inc.

in Willow Springs (MUNCH), her daily telephone calls to friends who needed support or a friendly ear and her involvement in many, many activities at Sacred Heart Catholic Church including coordinating RENEW and the religious education program for many years. Millie was a life-long Catholic and truly dedicated to the Church. She was a positive force in the community and the heart and soul of the family. She is survived by her aunt, Alice Murray; brothers, Richard and wife Lois, and Robert and wife Roberta; sisters, Elaine Peret and husband Bob, Millicent Kalil, and Barbara Loew and husband Jerry; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Willow Springs City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, December 3, 2002 in Duncan Funeral Home, Mountain View. Flowers are not needed, but prayers will be much appreciated. Millie was planning a donation to the Hospitality House at St.

John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. The family intends to carry out her wishes. Leonard J. "Shorty" Netzer BILLINGS- Mr. Leonard J.

"Shorty" Netzer, 91, Billings, died Friday, November 29, 2002 as a result of a fire in his home. He was born January 6, 1911 in Clever, Missouri to Peter William and Louise (Schatz) Netzer, the second oldest of 13 children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wilbert, Edmond, Donald and Richard; and his sister, Lucille Schmill. He is survived by two brothers, Raymond "Ray" Netzer and his wife, Rose, Springfield, and Paul "Pedro" Netzer, Nixa; five sisters, Marguerite Yonkman, and Marie Fabro, both of Springfield, Frances Frett and her husband, Clarence, Marion, Iowa, Geraldine Ruzicka, Willard, and Virgina Roetto and husband Jim, Dennison, Texas; sisters-in-law, Nancy Netzer, Verona, and Mary Netzer, Springfield; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He operated the DX Service Stationradio repair shop, and a second radio repair shop in Billings.

He also owned and operated a theater in Billings, and after it burned down, Mr. Netzer donated the land to the city of Billings. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was a radio repairman. He was awarded five bronze stars and numerous citations for campaigns in the South Pacific.

After the Army, he was employed in Kansas City, at a high tech company, where he held patents. After retiring he returned to Billings to be a caregiver to his mother and brother. He will be missed by family and friends deeply. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in St.

Joseph's Catholic Church, Billings, with Father Patrick Teter officiating, under direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Billings. Burial, with military honors, will be at 1 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home with visitation to follow.

J' James C. "Jack" Canada James C. "Jack" Canada, 83, Greenfield, passed away December 1, 2002 in Medical-odge North in Pittsburg, Kan. He was born March 2, 1919 in Nelson, Mo. to Iva C.

and Emma Canada. He grew up in Exeter, Mo. and graduated from Exeter High School. Jack was united in marriage to Bette Sherrell, March 3, 1942. He proudly served in the U.S.

Army from 1942 to 1945, during WWII. Jack moved to Greenfield, Mo. in 1949. He was a funeral director and owned and operated the Canada Funeral Home in Greenfield for 35 years. He was an active member in many clubs and organizations in this community.

Jack will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and wonderful outlook on life. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Bette, in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Kelly of Springfield, a son, Jamie Canada and his wife Becky of Pittsburg, granddaughter, Candace Stark and her husband, Bill, of Branson West; three grandsons, Casey Canada and his wife Amy of Springfield, Jeremy Canada and Cody Canada of Pittsburg, twin great-granddaughters, Hayden and Hannah Stark. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his life to serving others. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Thursday, December 5, 2002 in the Greenfield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gene Clack officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Greenfield American Legion Post 47. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Greenfield, where Jack was a faithful member.

Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel, Greenfield. John Harold Bigelow John Harold Bigelow, 93, of Aurora, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2002 in Ozark Methodist Manor in Marionville. John was born October 21, 1909 in Oronogo, Mo. to William L.

Bigelow and Donna Alice Moore Bigelow. He married Opal I. Wells July 28, 1929. He was a farmer in the Buck Prairie community for many years. He was a long time member of the Buck Prairie Baptist Church where he served as men's Sunday school teacher, song leader and Deacon.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Opal, of the Ozark Methodist Manor; two sons, Johnnie Bigelow and his wife, Audrey, of Sedalia, and Richard Bigelow and his wife, Sue, of Marionville, four daughters, Joan Wise and her husband, Jack, Carol Hargus, and Barbara Kean and her husband, Carroll, all of Aurora, and Eva Brown and her husband, Bill, of Joplin, 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 11 great-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and two grandchildren. He was a loving, devoted, caring husband, father and grandfather and friend and leaves a legacy as a Godly example of Christ's love to all who knew him. He is at home with the Lord now, but will be greatly missed by his beloved family. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Buck Prairie Baptist Church, with his grandsons, Revs. Wesley and Gary Bigelow offiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Donations in memory of John may be made to the Buck Prairie Church in care of the funeral home. "ft A Willa F. Lee Willa F. Lee, 82, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2002 in St. John's Mercy Villa.

She was born on July 29, 1920 to Arthur S. and Mabel Edith (Smith) Weston in Joplin, Missouri. Willa was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Springfield, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of St. John's Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She was married to Chester R.

Lee, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Julius Weston, Clyde Weston and Cecil Weston. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Gary and Shirley Lee of Wilmington, Ohio, and Randie and Cheryl Lee of Springfield, two brothers and their wives, Floyd and Mary Ellen Weston of Joplin, and James and lone Weston of Broken Arrow, seven grandchildren, Melinda Crossland of Nixa, Destiny Hall and Dustin Hall, both of Springfield, Matthew Lee of Monett, Kathryn Lee and Nathan Lee, both of Wilmington, Ohio, and Dallas Hall of Clearwater, two sisters-in-law, Orabelle Weston of Webb City, and Letha Weston of Carl Junction, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Chapel at Riv-ermonte, 4500 South Lone Pine.

Hendrix, 97, Brookline, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Magnolia Square in Springfield. Otha was born in Lawrence County, daughter of Lonnie and Bertha Can-trell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lillard Hendrix in 1970; and brother, Willard Cantrell; and sisters, Eula Rodgers and Mary Grace Cantrell.

She was a member of Brookline Baptist Church. Otha was very active and loved her family, church, and traveling, fishing, handwork, quilting, gardening, yard work. She was a unique lady and will be missed forever by her family and friends. Otha is survived by daughters, Norma Champieux and husband, Jim, of Brookline, Mary Sue Acuff Hartman and husband, Jim of Springfield; granddaughters, Terri Day of Battlefield, Gena Noyes and husband, Tom of Lenexa, and grandson, Jeff Johnson and wife, Carol of Republic. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Nicole McElhany, Springfield, Whitney Day, Battlefield, Weston Noyes, Sadie Noyes and Maggie Noyes of Lenexa and Riley Johnson of Republic.

She is also survived by five nieces and three nephews. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic, with the Rev. Hubert Conway officiating.

Burial will follow in Brookline Cemetery, near Brookline, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Joe Holland Little CLEVER- This life's evening sun set for Joe Holland Little, 73, Sunday, December 1, 2002 in Cox South hospital, Springfield, surrounded by the love and support of his family. The sun rose for Joe on August 20, 1929 in Clever, the son of Onis and Alma (Washam) Little.

He was a graduate of the Clever High School and lived in Clever his entire life. On July 9, 1950, Joe was united in marriage to Dixie Lee Aven, a faithful and caring companion. He was an active member of the Nixa Church of Christ. He was a loving, loyal and giving supporter to his family, church and community. He also enjoyed and treasured many happy friendships.

Joe was a dairy farmer but found time to play on a fast pitch softball team in Springfield and surrounding areas for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie, February 12, 2000; his parents; and his sister, Helen Jenkins. Survivors include a son, Rex Little and wife, Cindi; a daughter, Debbie Krasser and husband, Danny; seven grandchildren, Travis Little and wife Rhonda, Ava, Za-chary McCafferty, Johnathan Little, and Katie and Tori Krasser, all of Clever, Casey Jones and husband Jeremy, Ava, and San Coay and husband Neil, Kansas City, three great-grandchildren, Jack Coay, Kansas City, and Eden and Emily Little, both of Ava; a brother-in-law, John Jenkins, Clever; and a host of other beloved family members and friends. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002 in Meadors Funeral Home, Clever, with James Baysinger officiating.

Burial will be in Wise Hill Cemetery. The Clever chapel will be open at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice. "SET Betty L.

Berry Mrs. Betty L. Berry, age 75, of Springfield, departed this life November 29, 2002 in her home. She was born February 11, 1927 in Trenton, Mo. to Floyd and Gertrude McCallum Potts.

She was owner of Ace Pattern and Foundry in Kansas City, a licensed pilot; a member of The Ninety-Nines Inc. International Organization of Women Pilots and an associate member of the International Society of Appraisers. Her hobbies during the seasons of her life included the enjoyment of flying, boating, spending time at her home on Indian Point at Table Rock Lake, an avid lover of animals and treasure collecting. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dr.

Robert N. Davis; husband, Thomas H. Berry; and daughter, Chata L. Ward. She is survived by two sons, Robert A.

Davis of Kansas City, Kan. and Bradley N. Davis of Brunner, a daughter, Ramona K. Davis of Kansas City, granddaughter, Carlye E. Wannen-macher of Springfield; and great-grandsons Trey and Jacob Wannenmacher of Springfield.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2002 in Walnut Lawn DeGraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn Street. There will be no visitation. If desired, memorials may be made to C.A.R.E.

I i Jit a Rose Ann (Bagley) Cook Rose Ann Cook, daughter of John and Eleanor (Greer) Bagley was born February 25, 1955 in Marshfield, Missouri and departed this life December 1, 2002 in Cox South hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was 47 years, 9 months and 6 days of age. Rose Ann enjoyed making scrapbooks and the friendship of people being around her.

Her granddaughter was the light of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack and Bill Bagley. Rose Ann is survived by one sister, Laurabeth Smith and husband David of Marsh-field; one son, Jeremy Lee Cook of Springfield; one granddaughter, Chelsea Rose Cook also of Springfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Jeff White officiating. Burial will be in the Mission Home Cemetery near Marshfield. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Home Cemetery in care of the funeral home. John Dodson John Dodson, 96, of Springfield, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Sunday, December 1, 2002. At the early age of nine, he delivered milk by horse-drawn wagon to Springfield. His long work history included building furniture at the old Springfield Furniture Factory, was employed by Springfield Creamery, and was a construction foreman on projects in Missouri, Mississippi and Michigan.

In later years, he oversaw projects for Hiland Dairy until the age of 79. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Dodson was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years. John was a charter member and faithful elder at Springfield Bible Church for 29 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Dodson Chestnut and Ed Dodson; five brothers and a sister. John is survived by his sister, Helen Hart of Springfield, and was a beloved uncle to Dolores Greeno of Springfield, Oleva Smith of Overland Park, Barbara Blais of Austin, Texas, Je-anette Walker of Westlake Village, Dennis Hart of San Francisco, Betty Chestnut and Shirley Love of Simi Valley. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2002 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Pastor Curt Zachary officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

No visitation is planned however friends may call at their convenience after 1 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Bible Church, 2145 E. Grand, Springfield, Mo. 65804.

Catherine Mary Schiltz Catherine Mary Schiltz, age 89, of the Wien community, died Saturday morning, November 30, 2002 in Boone Hospital Center, Columbia. Catherine was born in Wien, on December 29, 1912 to Charles and Mary (Noll) Clark. She married John Lawrence Schiltz on October 12, 1938 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1996. Catherine and her husband owned and operated a turkey ranch for over 60 years. She was a member of the St.

Mary of the Angels Catholic Church at Wien and a Wien resident all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and five brothers, Charles, Francis, Delmar, Eddie and Ralph Clark. She is survived by two sons, Jack A. and Larry C. Schiltz, both of Wien; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Dr.

Richard Crippin, Marceline; and sister Juanita Wilson, Fulton. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Max and Jessie Schiltz, Wien, Connie Crippin, Springfield, and Patricia Vogt, Columbia; and three great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. today, December 3, 2002 in the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien, with Father Philip Moriarty officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wien. Pallbearers will be Richard Crippin, Max Schiltz, Jessie Schiltz, Denney Clark, Jerry Lee Domann and Don Vogt. Memorials to the Father McCartan School Foundation or St. Joseph School Foundation may be mailed to Dela-ney Funeral Home, 1720 N.

Missouri Marceline, MO 64658. See Obituaries, Page 2B News-Leader Anna Belle Higgins Anna Belle Higgins, 74, of Highlandville, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in Cox South hospital. The daughter of Lawrence and Ruby Williams, she was born June 22, 1928 in Springfield. She was a homemaker and member of Nixa Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Russell Bradley. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Gene Higgins, to whom she was married June 3, 1973. Also surviving are a son and his wife, Kirk and Sandra K. Bradley, Elkland; a daughter and her husband, Paula and Thomas Teel, Clarksville, three sisters, Billie House, Shell Knob, and Beverly Owens and Dixie Polodna, both of Springfield; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 in Greenlawn Funeral Home with Dr. Rod C. Cannedy officiating. Burial will be in Ha-zelwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home at 441 W. Battlefield. Food. Every Wednesday.
