MR AND MRS GERALD S1G1.ER, JR MR AND MRS MICHAEL COMPTON St John's Lutheran Church in Iwoden was the scene of the Iwedding of Rita Kurtzleben and Compton. The double ring were solemnized by Rev Curt Joseph on June 21. The parents of the couple are Mr land Mrs Calvin Kurtzleben of -Woden and Mr and Mrs Compton of Bayard. Organist was Barb Squier and accompanied the soloist, John letter. The bride's traditional wedding gown was a long white dress of sheer ganza and schiffli embroidery.

A long chapel train encircled Vby a deep set of flounce of completed the look. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs Ruth Buns of Woden. Bridesmaid was fMrs Lynnora Jetter of Rochester, ftMinn, and flower girl was Christie Compton, sister of the groom. Mike Wolterman of Jefferson best man. Kenneth Compton, brother of the groom, was Igroomsman and James Kurtzleben, brother of the bride, was ringbearer.

Paul Kurtzleben and Bryon Kurtleben were candleligh- ters. John Kurtzleben and Bradley Buns ushered the guests. A reception, held in the church dining room following the cere- was hosted by Mr and Mrs Boeckholt of Titonka. Mrs Francis Buns, aunt of the bride, poured coffee. Mrs Betty Brawley and Mrs Linda Kilcoin, aunts of the groom, served the wedding cake.

The bride graduated from Woden- i Crystal Lake high school and. is employed as a dental assistant Altoona. The groom is a Bayard high school graduate and is employed at Nelson Builders in Ankeny. Both are graduates of Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny. The couple is making their home in Ankeny.

Deborah Ann Benter, daughter of Mr and Mrs Donald Benter of Audubon and Gerald Dean Sigler, jr, son of Mr and Mrs Gerald Sigler of Bayard were united in holy matrimony September 26 at the Bayard Church of Christ. LeRoy Guernsey, minister of the church, officiated at the single ring ceremony at 5 m. Arrangements of yellow poms and white daisies deocrated the altar. Mrs Dave Poole was the pianist and provide'd traditional wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs Ted Garwood of Bagley. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.

She wore a floor length dress of white cotton embossed with yellow roses. She carried a cascade of white daisies and yellow poms. Mrs Kurt Schoon of Scranton was matron of honor for the bride and Kurt Schoon served as best man for the groom. Bill Patrick was the usher. A reception was held in the church parlor following the ceremony.

Cindy Carstens presided at the guest book. Debbie and Diane Weeks of Coon Rapids were in charge of the gifts. Peggy Sigler of Woodward, sister of the groom, served the punch and Donna Weeks, aunt of the groom, cut and served the wedding cake. Kitchen help included Mesdames Ted Garwood, Ronald Hall, Fred Christensen and Dave Poole. The bride is a senior at the Bayard high school and the groom is a 1974 graduate of Bayard high school.

He is employed by Hess Farms at Bayard. They are at home in the Siedhoff apartment above the Farmers State Bank in Bayard. Wednesday Mattie Outtrim enjoyed visits from her son, Merle Outtrim of Churdan, and Mrs Paul Balir of Jefferson. Marcella Buttler called on Emily Worshek Wednesday. Bessie Bell, Elsie Anderson and Mrs Gary Bell visited Mayme Smith Wednesday, Maxine Bolts called on Wayde Freesh Wednesday.

Mary Pick's company this week were Mr and Mrs Dale Sigler and Carl Meyers, all of Coon Rapids. Mr and Mrs Ivan Herron of Minnesota called on Lizzie Herron Friday. Lois Paullin took Elvis Maynard to her home in Guthrie Center for dinner Friday. Mary Calvert visited CecilE Derry Friday. Mabel Morgan and Mr and Mrs Wayne Long called on Elizabeth Whitman Sunday.

Keith Hilpipe visited Ruthe Boone Monday. Mr and Mrs Cecil Tarn were here Sunday. Lloyd Offill of Coon Rapids called on Mattie Outtrim and other friends Tuesday. Maria Wessling brought some fresh beets from her garden. We really appreciate being remembered.

Thank you. Bob Stiles of Fort Dodge was a Sunday caller on Eva Stiles. Mr and Mrs Everett Cornish visited her Monday. Elvis Maynard's visitors this week were Mr and Mrs Wayne Hagaman, Mr and Mrs Floyd Robinson, Mr and Mrs Sam Smith. Eunice Whitney and Mr and Mrs Jimmy Maynard.

Mr and Mrs Howard Hedges were Sunday visitors of Mary Hedges. Monday Jane Lovell of Des Moines came to see her. Mr and Mrs Everett Brideson of San Luis Obispo, Calif, called on Cathern Gardner Sunday. Mr and Mrs Artie Partridge, Mlerton, were Dulcie Murphy's Sunday. Lois Dorr and Millie Carstens of Yale called on Mabel Fagin Monday.

Floyd Betts visited his parents, Pearl and Charley Betts, Sunday. Mr and Mrs Lee Alexander of Brookfield, Wise, came Friday to visit her mother, Grace Smith. Activities Director THURSDAY. OCT. 16, 1975 TO REBEKAH ASSEMBLY Mrs Ival Badger and Mrs Fred Watson were in Des Moines Friday.

They attended the installation ceremony of the ReDeKan Assembly, held during the Assembly convention. Mrs Clair Badger was a weekend guest of Mr and Mrs Emery Kennett in Jefferson. Merle and Julia Reeves made several visits to see Bessie Hayes this week. We were grieved to hear of the passing of Glenn Kirkendall on Tuesday.
