THURSDAY. OCT. 16. 1975 MR AND MRS JERRY CORNELIUS Wedding vows were exchanged on Saturday evening. September 20, at the Minburn Methodist Church between Julie Marie Gilmore and Jerry Cornelius.

Parents of the couple are Mr and Mrs Ivan Gilmore of Linden and Mr and Mrs Cornelius of Bagley. Charles Conger, minister of the Washington Chapel Church of Christ, read the double ring service at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs Harold Holmstrom. who also played the traditional wedding march. Don Wise, friend of the bride, accompanied by Mrs Holmstrom as he sang.

"Walk 'Hand in Hand." "The Lord's Prayer." and "Wedding Song." The altar was decorated with peach colored carnations and i Two seven-point candelabras with white tapers stood at each side of the altar. 'Adorning the altar were two single and a large marriage candle, a symbol of unity, which the newly married couple lit together before their presentation. After the presentation of Mr and Mrs Jerry Cornelius to friends and a i they in turn each presented a long stemmed peach rose to their parents. The candles were lighted preceding the ceremony by Dan McKinney and Leroy White Jr, of the bride. Larse white bows adorned the church pews.

The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father anc presented by her parents, wore a floor-Ienght gown of white sheei organza with Venice and pearl lace trim. The gown had a lace bodice trimmed with pearls, a mandrin collar with lace accents and long fitted sheer sleeves" with lace trim on sides and at the wrists. The demi-bell skirt fell softly from the natural waistline accented with wo rows of venice lace down the front of the gown. A chapel length train draped from the waist. Her Door length veil, borrowed from her twin sister, was of illusion topped with saia-peau bows and petals of snowflake edged with crystal leaves.

The tradition of something old was carried out by the bride wearing a gold wedding band, a gift from her late Grandfather Bebout to her late Grandmother Bebout for their -10th wedding anniversary. The i a bouquet was a modified cascade arrangement of peach colored roses accetited with white holly-hock and laced with white statice. Bows and streamers were of white satin. Mrs Dan McKinney, twin sister of the bride, attended the bride as matron of honor while Mrs Leroy White, jr. sisterof thebride, served Sea It Gives But Doesn't Give In as bridesmaid.

They wore identical rust colored double knit floor length gowns fashioned with an empire length hooded jacket and fitted sleeves. The hoods were trimmed with flower trim of fall colors. Each carried a long stemmed peach colored rose. Danielle McKinney, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Her dress was a floor length peach colored double knit, trimmed with white lace around the collar and cuffs.

A full length white organdy pinafore trimmed in white lace and peach color embroidery completed her outfit. Her flower was a minature peach colored long stemmed rose. Serving as best man was Tom Cornelius, brother of the groom, and Bill Whitecotton was groomsman. The ushers were Dan McKinney, Leroy White Jr and Ron Dahleen. For her daughter's wedding Mrs Gilmore wore a dark brown, floor-length jacket dress ensemble with silver-gold trim and silver accessories.

Mrs Cornelius wore a pink floor-length dress with white accessories. Their corsages were peach colored double camellia roses. Serving as personal attendant was Mrs Forrest Turner. Mrs Ron Dahleen sat at the guest book. Special guests at the wedding were Mr and Mrs Harry Gilmore and Mrs Florence Sweet, grandparents of the couple.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party and 140 guests were feted at a reception in the church basement. Dining room hosts and hostesses Mr and Mrs Verle Wicks and Mr and Mrs Leland Schuhardt. The serving table was covered with a dark brown cloth with a white lace overlay. Variegated peach and white round mints, brown napkins and peach colored slush carried out the brides colors. A five tiered filagree columnar wedding cake iced in white with a scalloped effect base made up of five round cakes encircled with greenery featured tiny peach colored roses with silver leaves, doves and white sugar bells and a white sugar Bible.

It was topped with a silver wedding cross with two encircled rings. It was baked by Mrs Harry Miller of Linden. Mrs Linda Jones and Mrs Shelley Wicks cut and served the cake. Coffee was poured by Mrs Florence Sullivan and punch dipped by Mrs Mary Brown. Mrs Connie Bice and Jane Turner were in charge of receiving gifts.

Following a honeymoon to Nebraska and Colorado, the couple is at home in Bagley. Mr and Mrs Cornelius entertained the wedding party at a rehearsal dinner at the Woodchuck Inn on September 18. Bridal showers were given by ladies of the Washington Chapel Church of Christ; Margaret Grow, Mable Swartz, Barbara Turner, Ruth Schuhardt, Mary Brown and Sharon Dahleen. OCTOBER BIRTHDAYS -Mr and Mrs GillUand entertained at dinner Sunday. Their guests were Mr and Mrs Kevin Kirtley of Yale; Mr and Mrs Max GiililandandSean.Mrs Winnie GiUHana, Mike Gffliland and Mr and Mrs Deac Hidlebaugh of Bagley; Mr and Mrs Bill Bullock, Scott, Kurt, Craig and Debbie and Barrie Rollings of Perry; Rick and Kim Mantz and Lisa Deeth of Bayard.

Family members with October birthdays were honored, including Babe Gilliland, the host; Deac Hidlebaugh, Craig Bullock and Kim Mantz. VISIT BROTHER -Mr and Mrs Joe Gruber were in Montivedio, Minn, for four days to visit his brother, Herman; who was ill. He died October 5, after they had returned to their home in Bagley. HONOR MRS BADGER -John Badger, Jeff and Jamie of Coon Rapids entertained Friday evening honoring their wife and mother, Joyce', on her birthday. Guests were Mr and Mrs Dale Sigler of Coon Rapids; Mrs Don Badger, Brad and Brent and Mrs Clair Badger.

Birthday cake and ice cream were served. TWO HONORED -Mr and Mrs George Van Cleave, Denise and Diane of Guthrie Center entertained at dinner Sunday honoring his mother, Mrs William Van Cleave, in an early celebration of her November birthday. Also honored was Danny Russell for his October 15 birthday. Guests were Mr and Mrs Paul Van Cleave, Larry, Billy, Jerry and Janet of Waukee; Mr and Mrs George Conz, Christine and Greg of Indianola; Mr and Mrs Jack Russell and Danny of Jamaica; Kenneth Russell of Boone; Mr and Mrs Lloyd Van Cleave, Kathie Jan and Craig of Perry; Mr and Mrs Douglas Hambleton of Guthrie Center and Mr and Mrs William Van Cleave of Bayard. Mr and Mrs Duane Ayers and Ron Clipperton of Jefferson were afternoon visitors.

Lenore Johnson and Mrs Wayne Smith were in DBS' Moines Tuesday. Sunday they visited MR and Mrs Bob Derry, Sherri and Greg in rural Menlo and called on Mr and Mrs Sam Drake and Roddy of rural Bayard enroute home. Mr and Mrs Harry Jacobsen attended the golden wedding observance of Harry's brother, Mr and Mrs Jake Jacobsen, in Ascension Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids Sunday afternoon. They were also guests at supper which followed.
