Tinkle died Thursday in a Shreveport hospital after a long illness. Born in Gary, he was a lifelong Panola County resident and was a retired truck driver and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Carthage and VFW Post 5620 and American Legion Post 353. Survivors include his wife, Nettie; six sons, Steve of Center, Billy of Alexandria, Allen Godwin of Chester, Lester and Troy Godwin, both of Carthage, and Robert Godwin of Houston; three daughters, Linda Bussy, Vickie Higginbotham and Pat Worthey; two sisters, Mrs.

Grace Tinkle of Carthage and Mrs. Nellie Crooms of Gary; 25 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.nx at Pleas-, ant Valley Cemetery near Cotton Valley, La. Ruby Currey Garrett I.

AP photographer dead at 68 LONDON (AP) William Frederick "Bob" Rider-: Rider, an outstanding British news and sports photographer for The Associated Press, died Thursday in Bexhill Hospital on the English south coast at the age of 68, his wife Thelma said. His death, less than three years after retirement, followed a heart attack and other ailments, his wife said. A tall, powerful-looking man always known as Bob, Rider-Rider was the son of a London picture editor, and joined the AP in 1931 as a messenger boy.

He graduated to the darkroom, then to cameraman, and after five years' service with the Royal Air Force in World War II, rejoined the AP at the end of 1945. Horst Faas, AP's European Photo Editor, said: "Bob was one of the great agency photographers. He always managed to get the right shot at the right angle that told the story. Funerals Dr. Russell R.

Dr. Wimberly died Thursday at his residence. A Longview resident since 1934, Dr. Wimberly moved here from San Angelo. He was a retired dentist, practicing 40 years before his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred. Arlen Keith Piroutek Services for Arlen Keith "Red" Piroutek, 47, of Longview are pending with Rader Funeral Home. Mr. Piroutek died Wednesday in a local hospital, following a sudden illness. A Longview resident 18 years, Mr.

Piroutek moved here from South Dakota. He was a self-employed trucker driver and a Air Force veteran. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife, June; two daughters, Tiffany Michele of Longview and Tamara Kay of Sacremento, three sons, Donald Lee of Longview, David Keith and Daniel Frank, both of Sacremento, his parents, Don and Dorothy Piroutek, of Wagner, S.D.; three sisters, Marlys Bridge and Jean Piroutek, both of Wagner and Mary Beth Piroutek; and three grandchildren. Truitt Services for Jack H. Truitt, 77, of Longview will be 2 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Ely officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Truitt died Wednesday in a local hospital. Mr. Truitt was chief station operator for Atlantic Pipeline Co. He was a member of Founders Christian Church, where he also was a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three sons, Jack of New Orleans, Lon of Longview and Kenneth of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. E.M. Bradham of Port Neches and Mjs. Ernest Mosely of Beaumont; and four grandchildren. Grace O.

McCarley Services for Grace 0. McCarley, 86, of Longview will be 2 p.m. today at Welch Funeral Home with Christian Science Reader Freda Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Mrs.

McCarley died Wednesday evening in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. A 65-year resident of Longview, Mrs. McCarley was the wife of the late R.S. McCarley, founder of McCar-ley's Jewelry Co. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Longview and Longview Music Club.

Survivors include two sons, H.C. (Stormy) Bennett and Gary Bennett, both of Longview; and four grandchildren, Gary Bennett William Bennett, Henry Clinton Bennett III and Henry McCarley Bennet. John F. Cox KILGORE Services for John F. Cox, 65, of Kilgore will be 4 p.m.

today at Rader Funeral Home with the Johnny E. Stone Services for Johnny E. Stone, 70, of Longview will be 10 a.m. today at Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Dodge officiating.

Burial will be in Summerfield Cemetery. Mrs. Nora Rollinson Ridings CARTHAGE Services for Mrs. Nora Rollinson Ridings, 83, of Carthage will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hawthorn Funeral Home with the Rev.

Jerry Burnaman Revs. Roger Hoffpowier and Marshall Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Pirtle Cemetery. Mr. Cox died Wednesday at a Kilgore nursing center.

A lifelong resident of Kilgore, Mr. Cox was a native of Pirtle in Rusk County. He was a self-employed painter and was a member of Pirtle Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Juanita; a son, Donald of Kilgore; three daughters, Mrs. Pat Bingham of Quitman and Mrs.

Charollette Gossage and Mrs. Sue Clements, both of Kilgore; a brother, Harold of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Goggans and Mrs. Ida Mae Penry, both of Kilgore; 10 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Thomas David Stone Jr.

Mr. Stone died Thursday night in Marshall after a long illness. Born in Marshall, he was a retired system electrician for Southwestern Electric Power Co. in Marshall. He attended Marshall public schools and was a member of St.

Joseph's Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and belonged to the American Legion Club in Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Leslie; a daughter, Mrs.

Reeves (Kathie) Feild of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. J.M. (Laura) Hughes of Marshall; two brothers, Charles D. of Tulsa, and Jesse of Canyon City; and two grandchildren. Mrs.
