Almond Smith Services for Almond Smith, 51, of 207 Walter, will be Friday in Hixon Funeral Home Chapel, Leesville, La. with interment in Beech Grove Cemetery. No service time is available. He died Tuesday following a lengthy illness in a local hospital. Rader Funeral Home IS in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Smith lived in Longview 19 years after moving here from Pineland. He was employed with the Trailmobile maintenance department, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Artie Mae, Longview; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Talkington and Mrs.

A native of Rusk County, he was employedby Bryan Bryan Road Oil Co. in Henderson as a truck driver. He was a member of the Minden Baptist Church and he was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Sue; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hale, Miss Linda Sue Hays and Miss Nelva Jean Hays, all of Henderson; two sons.

Milam Roberts -Services for Milam H. Roberts, 90, of 106 S. Meason, Big Sandy will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Croley Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Lacy officiating.

Burial will be at Chilton Cemetery. Mr. Roberts died Tuesday at his home after a lengthy illness. A retired sawmill operator, he was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae; four sons, Milam Jr.

Burial for Mr. Garrison, who died Monday night in a Houston hospital after a short illness, will be in Oakwood Cemetery here. He was born May 3, 1942. at Gladewater, where he lived until moving to Houston about a year ago. He was a cook and a mechanic.

Authorities identified the pilot of the twin plane as Mrs.

Nancy Barrett of Fort Worth. Mrs. Barrett is the former Nancy Sunkel. daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

B.W. Sunkel of Longview. Others killed in the crash were four World Service Life Insurance company executives Jimmy Kenneth Fulkerson, 35. James L. Ward 35, Fabe Ingram, 42 and Reed H.

Yowell. 34, all of Fort Worth. According to wire service reports, the plane exploded over the northeast part of Springdale at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday. The craft was en route to St.

Louis, then Chicago where the executives were to attend a business meeting. Mrs. Barrett. a native of Longview and a graduate of Longview High School. was flying the plane as a charter for World Service Life Insurance officials.

Police Chief Bob Berry said the plane's wreckage landed 100 yards from some residential property near the intersection of U.S. 71 and Arkansas 264, close to the WashingtonBenton County Line. Jim Newberry, a Federal Aviation Administration air traffic controller at Fayetteville said investigators from Little Rock probed the air crash site to determine the cause of the explosion. Newberry said the flight was under instrument supervision of Memphis air traffic controllers when the crash occurred. Graveside services for Mrs.
