I NEWS-LEADER October 8, 2006 5B Edward N. Weissler Roy Harrell Charlie Gary Price Mary Elizabeth Edward N. Weissler, 86, Springfield, Missouri, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, October 7th. He was born June 20, 1920, in St. Louis, to Edward and Rose (Schnitzer) Weissler.

Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Ed was a brewer at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis and retired in 1980 after 42 years of employment. Ed was a World War I1 veteran serving in the 9th Armored Division, 138th Tank Battalion and received three Battle Stars (including the Bridge at Remagen) and three Service Stripes. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and active in the Mens' Club. He also served as Extraordinary Minister of the Church and was the Immaculate Conception "Can Man" for many years.

Ed was truly one of those who "would rather be Any day fishing and hunting with family and friends was a good day. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Marie C. Weissler. He remains the dearest father and fatherin-law of Kathy and Jim Sammon M.D. of Springfield, Jim and Jean Weissler of Springfield, and Edward R.

Weissler of St. Louis; loving grandfather of Carolyn Sammon M.D., Elizabeth Sammon and Kathryn Sammon; Jennifer Weissler, Robert Weissler, and Maureen Weissler; Erin Johnston, Greta Bohnenkamp, AJ Weissler and Luke great-grandfather of Madelyn, Wyatt, Sylvia, Beniamin and Elizabeth; dearest cousin and friend to many. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2006, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Philip Tran CMC, celebrant, under the direction of Herman H.

Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut. Committal service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, Oct. 8, with a prayer service to begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Sponsor a Child" Fund, Springfield Catholic Schools Central Office, 3520 S.

Call Toll-FREE 1-888-886-9044 ext. 8602 0000074837 Robert "Doc" Edward Schmoll Funeral services for Dr. Robert "Doc" Edward Schmoll, 79, of Branson, will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Whelchel Funeral Chapel, Branson, with the Reverend Kenny Robinette officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel. Dr. Schmoll passed away Friday, October 6, at his residence.

Robert was born August 31, 1927, in St. Louis, the son of Grover and Emmy Grace (Meyer) Schmoll. He married Barbara on August 8, 1953. Robert was a member of the Branson United Methodist Church and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He and his family have been in the Branson Hotel and tourism business since 1973.

Survivors include wife, Barbara, of Branson; daughter, Marilyn Mahoney and husband, Mike, of Branson; granddaughter, Megan Haws and husband, Lynn, of Liberty, sister, Gail Leeds of Culper, nephew, Phil Leeds of Jackson Hole, and niece, Markey Willis and husband, Jerry, of Culper, Va. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. The family has requested that memorials be made to National Parkinsons or The Humane Society of Branson, Tri Lakes. NEWS-LEADER Home of the Week. Sundays in Home Virginia Marlene Foster Duckworth Roy Harrell, 76, Springfield, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Thursday, October 5th.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1929, in Springfield and died surrounded by his loving family at Cox South. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Francis Harrell; sister, Betty Gladden; and brother, Dave Harrell. The lifelong Springfield resident is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patsy (Speake) Harrell; daughter, Linda 1 Burkhart and husband, Ron, Springfield; and son, Mark and wife, Wendy; Nixa. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Tracy Rinehimer and husband, David, Springfield, Ryan Harrell and wife, June, Nixa, and Megan Harrell, Nixa.

Great-grandchildren include Holden Donaldson, Kassi Rinehimer, Kayla Rinehimer, Regan Rinehimer, Michelle Rinehimer, Reese Harrell and Brandon and Samantha Maser, and numerous other family and friends. He truly loved his dog Snoopy too. He married Patsy Speake on July 1, 1950, and soon went overseas to serve his country in the Korean War. After coming back from overseas, Roy held many positions. He was a bus driver, accountant and retired after many years as an engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad.

He was affectionately known by his railroad coworkers as "Black Cloud." He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ and baptized in 1997. Roy will be most remembered for his sense of humor and the strong love he had for his family and friends. Roy had the unique characteristic of being able to lighten the most stressful situation by telling an old joke or a funny story. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.

at Greenlawn Funeral Home South and services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Burial will follow in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Donations can be made in Roy's honor to the Southwest Humane Society.

NEWS-LEADER To subscribe call 836-1122. Charlie Gary Price died suddenly Tuesday September 26, 2006, at the age of 75. Born in Houston, Texas, to Annette and Charlie Price on September 9, 1939, Gary earned a master's degree in mathematics and education from the University of Texas and was a recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship for Advanced Studies, also at the University of Texas. A lifelong teacher, Gary taught math, physics and computer science in the public schools for over 50 years. He served as a Math Consultant for the Texas Education Agency.

Gary was proud to be a Marine. Gary also was an entrepreneur and built several businesses during his lifetime. An accomplished string bass and tuba player, Gary shared a deep love of music with family and friends. Throughout his life, he played with a variety of music ensembles from iazz to symphonic. His optimism and tenacity, his generous loving nature, his hopes and dreams inspired us all.

Gary was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Shute, and his father, Charlie Price. He is survived by his son, Dr. Carl Price and his wife, Kathy, of Springfield Missouri; his daughters, Karen Price and her husband, Steven Williams, of League City, Texas, KayLynn Price of Houston, Texas, Wanda Dubaz of Houston, Texas, Maribeth Price of Springfield, Missouri, and Donna Johnson of Houston, Texas; and his grandchildren, Ana, Mary and Joseph Price of Springfield, Missouri, and Oliver and Devan Williams of League City, Texas. We will cherish memories of sailing, lawn mower rides, projects, music, ice cream, and experiments.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 3 p.m. in Crowder Funeral Home, 851 FM517 Dickinson, Texas 77539 (www.crowderfuneralhome.com). Williamson. She was employed by Montgomery Ward for 20 years or more. On July 20, 1989, Mary was united in marriage to Don McElhany. Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Rhonda Kay Deulen; her first husband, Ronald James Deulen; and her father-in-law, George McElhany. She is survived by her husband, Don, Republic; a daughter and husband, Teri and Mike Hughes, Republic; a son and wife, Gary and Kim Deulen, Caldwell, Idaho; two brothers and wives, Eddie and Eva Williamson, Springfield, and Frank and Mary Williamson, Springfield; her in-law, Dorothy McElhany, Republic; a brother-inlaw and wife, Steve and Marlu McElhany, Republic; five grandchildren, Travis Deulen and his Janna, Scott Hughes and wife, Cassi, Joshua Hughes, Jessica and Jamie Aiken; two great-grandsons, Ezekiel Hughes and Rylee Deulen; a step-granddaughter, Shanon Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at Evergreen Cemetery, Republic, with Rev. Mike Green officiating, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Homes, Republic. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, in the funeral home.

NEWS-LEADER True Ozarks. "Gingie" was born on October 8, 1922, in Waco, and died on September 4, 2006, in Palm Springs, Calif. She attended Drury College and was a Registered Nurse. She had a forty year career in medicine. Gingie was preceded in death by her husband, John Gordon Duckworth, Sr.

Her son, Michael Foster Duckworth, passed away on Sept. 25, 2006. She is survived by her remaining four children, John Duckworth, Pamela Gelles, Diantha Stensrud and Patrick Duckworth; sister, Bette Wilcox and brother, Steven Foster. Gingie has seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. An inurnment service will be on October 10, 2006, at 11 a.m.
