Aide Joins Staff Of Prosecutor Area Deaths and Funerals nmnnmHs S'V Lansing Willis L. Brownlee a recent graduate of the Detroit College of Law, has joined the Ingham County prosecutor's staff. Brownlee, 42, served in the Air Force during the Korean War and attended William Jennings Bryan University in Dayton, Tenn. He also did post graduate work in counseling at Michigan State University. Prior to enrolling in law-school in 1967, Brownlee spent almost 10 years in the Ingham County Probate Court where he was a casework supervisor and a hearing referee.

Robert Jordan MASON Robert Jordan, 48, of 3385 W. Kipp Road, died this morning at a Lansing hospital. He was in ill health for several years, suffering from a kidney disease. Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; his mother, Mrs. Lula Hilton of Crystal; three sons, Robert Stanley and William of Mason; two daughters, Mrs.

Sandra DeVier of Lansing and Miss Cristina Jordan of Mason; a brother, Fred of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Earl Long of Holt; five grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jewett Funeral Home, Mason. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Aurelius.

Shooting Victim, 26, In Critical Condition Harold Chaff in Harold Chaffin, 72, of Lansing died in a Detroit hospital today. Arrangements will be announced by the Estes-Leadley Funeral Home. Frances E. Osborne Mrs. Frances Eliabeth (Giles) Osborne, 89, of 132 S.

Clemens, died today in a local hospital. A resident of Lansing for the past 30 years, she was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and its Altar Society. Surviving are a nephew Ralph Sprague of Fox Lake, and three nieces, Mrs. John Charles Allen of Lansing. Mrs.

Francis address.

Officials at the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office said shortly after the incident Lansing police arrested Willie Smith, about 50 years old, of Detroit Street. A warrant was to be issued today charging Smith with assault with intent to commit muder, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Donald Martin said. Lansing Fire Department crews reported McFadden was 'found in a driveway at 717 S. Francis suffering from a massive wound to the left temple. Mr. Brotzmann died Saturday in California where he had been living about 30 years. He had been in good health until recently. A native of Germany, he lived in Chesaning for 60 years prior to going to California. He was one of the first persons in the nation to receive Social Security benefits.

Leonard L. Rowlee MASON Funeral services for Leonard L. Rowlee, 54, a former Mason resident who died Saturday night at a Lansing hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ball-Dunn Funeral Home, Mason. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason.

Mr. Rowlee was an Eaton Rapids resident for the past five years. Searl H. Niver OLIVET Searl H. Niver, 74, of Drive North, R.

1, died Sunday at a Marshall convalescent home. He was a World War I veteran and had been a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Neva; three daughters, Ruth, at home, Mrs. Mary Ritchie of Battle Creek and Mrs. Lois Ellison of Charlotte, and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burkhead Funeral Home with burial in Rice Creek Cemetery, Calhoun County. Peter Gabris Sr. HOWELL Peter Gabris 86, of 3175 Fisher Road, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was a retired carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; four daughters, Miss Mary Gabris of Howell, Mrs. Marge Vincounas of Detroit, Mrs. Fran Tamialis of Brighton and Mrs. Ann Luchetu" of Cleveland, Ohio; two sons, Joseph and Peter both of Howell, and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Velma Longstreet of Gowen; a step-daughter, Mrs. Leon a Burns of Carson City; a step HENRY (HOMER) HAYNES Country Singer Homer Dies LANSING, II (UPI) -Henry T. Haynes, the guitar-playing Homer in the country-singing, down-home comedy team of Homer and Jethro, will be buried Wednesday. Haynes, 51, was preparing for a performance at the Great Midwest Fair Saturday when he complained of chest pains and shortness of breath. He died at a Hammond, hospital a few hours later.

Homer and Jethro (Kenneth Burns) first performed professionally as a team in 1939 at Tennessee's Renfro Valley Square Dance. They blended solid country singing with Homer's fine gui-t a and Jethro's mandolin touch in their patter and songs that charmed millions of fans. The duo's first million-seller record was 'The Battle of Ku-kamonga," a parody of a 1950s top-of-the-chart tune. Hit record followed hit record and, by the time Homer and Jethro cut their last record some two months ago, they had 50 albums to their credit Edward Morris SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) Edward Morris, 76, concert pianist, died Saturday night at a hospital near his Schenectady home.

Morris appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Robert P. Tibolt COHASSET, Mass. (AP) Robert P. Tibolt, 72, board chairman of Eastern Gas and Fuel Associates, died Friday at his Cohasset home.

Tibolt was elected board chairman in 1962. George L. Weyler CORONADO, Calif. (AP) Retired Navy Vice Adm. George L.

Weyler, 85, who directed a defeat of the Japanese navy in World War that was hailed as a turning point for Allied victory in the Pacific, died Friday. Weyler retired from the Navy in 1946. June Rockwell Levy BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (AP) Mrs. June Rockwell Levy, 85, widow of philanthropist Austin T.

Davis died Saturday at an East Lansing convalescent home, where she had been a patient one and a half years. She moved from Charlotte to Lansing and lived at 510 W. Willow. In 1951 she retired as a linotype operator at The Flint Journal. Surviving are a stepson, Russell Davis of Flint, and a sister-in-law, Mrs.

Helen Tanner of Charlotte. Alhert Leven Six-year-old Albert Leven, a first grade student at Stoner School, drowned over the weekend while on vacation in Laredo, Tex. with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leven, 2605 W.

Kalamazoo. It was learned here that the youth plunged into a pool with other swimmers but was unable to swim himself and drowned before he could be rescued. Surviving also are three brothers, Frank, Carlos and Robert and two sisters, Dianna and Patsy. Faulkner CHARLOTTE Ira M. Faulkner, 84, of 2548 R. 4, died Sunday at his home. A retired farmer, he had lived in this area his entire life. Surviving are three sons, Hugh of Livonia, Lynn of Eaton Rapids and Carroll of Marshall; three daughters, Mrs.

Ivadean Dickinson of Charlotte, Miss Hah Faulkner, at home, and Mrs. Alta Poskey of rural Charlotte, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Pray Funeral Home, with burial in West Carmel Cemetery. Roy Bishop HOWELL Roy Bishop, 70, of Howell, died Sunday at a Howell hospital.

He was a retired refrigerator serviceman for a Detroit firm. He was a World War veteran. Surviving are a step-son, Robert Goodwin of Detroit; two step-daughters, Mrs. Thelma Cullen of Walled Lake and Mrs. Evelyn Laslo of Howell; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and three sisters.

The body is at the Mac-Donald Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday at the Meyers Funeral Home, Gates-ville, Ind. Burial will be in Gatesville. Clarence L. Eichorn ST.

JOHNS Services for Clarence L. Eichorn, 75, of Ashley will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Osgood Funeral Home with burial in Union Home Cemetery. A retired fanner, Mr. Eichorn died Saturday in Carson City Hospital.

Surviving are his i Mildred; two daughters, Mrs. LaVera Reeves of Ithaca and Mrs. Delores Craig of St. Johns; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Sanford and Mrs.

Burglars Get Coins, Other Loot Coins valued at nearly $2,000 were among items taken in several thefts and break-ins reported to Lansing and Michigan State Police over the weekend. Lansing officers report the Coin Shop, 1829 S. Washington, was broken into Sunday night and about $1,000 worth of coins are missing.

State police said some rare half-dollars, worth $890 were taken from a display case at a coin show in the Meridian Mall in Okemos Saturday i t. They belonged to Harold Simon, '108 N. Magnolia, officials said. The Richard Miller home at 1300 S. Canal, was broken into early Sunday, State Police said.

Missing are a stereo set, television, shotgun and field glasses worth $730. The Dewald Sound Equipment 300 N. Verlinden, was broken into over the weekend. Missing, according to police, are a tape deck player and speakers, portable television and an undetermined amount of cash. $297 MISSING A break-in was discovered at the Madison Gulf Station, 200 S.

Logan early today. Missing is a metal box containing $297, Lansing officers report A stereo set was reported missing form the Carol Mc-Daniels residence, 1119 Church, Sunday night. Stereo tapes were reported stolen from the William Mazurek home, 1818 Vermont, last night. Both homes were broken into, police said. Tools belonging to the City of Lansing were reported stolen from a city building at 2400 Reo, Sunday, police report.

About $275 worth of car parts were reported stolen from the basement of Building 15 at Meadow Brook Trace- Apartments early today. They belonged to Gerald Matyus, 3101 Beau Jardih, police report. A Lansing man told police late Saturday night that someone smashed his car windshield in the 200 block of S. Logan. He attempted to catch the vandals, but instead attacked by several black and white youths who later fled after taking his wallet which contained about $115 cash, officers reports stated.

Two major weekend thefts were reported to Michigan State University campus police. Officers said they are investigating the theft of an electric typewriter, valued at $250, from Room A-124 Veterinary Clinic. Police are also searching for a $250 canoe reported stolen Sunday from the MSU canoe shelter on the Red Cedar River, near Farm Lane. Four Injured In Isabella MT. PLEASANT Four persons were injured in two separate accidents in Isabella County Saturday night and early Monday morning.

Christ Kreiner, 16, suffered severe leg injuries when the motorcycle he was driving struck the rear of a truck driven by Donald Apple, 19, on Summerton Road, two miles east of Rosebush. Both drivers are from Rosebush. Isabella County deputies said the truck skidded into the path of the motorcycle. Apple was not hurt. Mrs.

Clara M. Berry, 34, and her daughter. Dawn, 10, of Birch Run, were injured early Monday when their car was struck in the rear by another driven by George Hupscher, 18, of Mt. Pleasant. Troopers of the Ithaca State Police post said Mrs.

Berry was turning off M-46 onto Warner Road when the accident occurred. All four were taken to the Central Michigan Community hospital in Mt. Pleasant for treatment son, Frank Reeder of Carson City; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Burns-Schepp Funeral Home, Carson City.

Jolly, 66, of 248 W. Pearl Ovid, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Osgood Funeral Home with burial in Union Home Cemetery. Mrs. Jolly died Saturday at her home following a lingering illness.

She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Betty Marie Seyrek of St. Johns, Mrs. Dorothy Auer of Mason, and Mrs.

Ethel Peacock of Ponca City, four sons, Robert of Carl D. of Boyne City, Lester L. of Arlington, and Gerald W. of Ovid; 38 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Jason L.

Rhynard ST. JOHNS Funeral services for Jason L. Rhynard, 60, of 705 Garfield, who died Saturday while at his Houghton Lake summer home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoag Funeral Home, St. Johns.

Burial will be in Mt Rest Cemetery, St. Johns. He was a retired St. Johns businessman. He operated a tire and wheel accessories business in St.

Johns for about 20 years. He was a World War veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Saginaw Shrine Temple and the Alma Elks Lodge. Surviving are a son, Jon with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam; a brother, Jasper of Alma; and a sister, Mrs. Hollis Cooper of Middleton.

Mary Ann Quinn ALMA Services for Miss Mary Ann Quinn, 25, formerly of Alma, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Catholic Church, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Miss Quinn died Friday at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Md. She had been living in Arlington, about five years and was a legal secretary at the Pentagon.

She was a graduate of Alma High School and Lansing Business University. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Quinn of 306 Hollcrest Alma; a brother, Michael of Saginaw, and a sister, Judy Kay, at home. Rosary will be at 8 p.m.

Monday in the Dewey Funeral Home. Sarah A. Eckley IONIA Mrs. Sarah A. Eckley, 80, of Ionia, died Sunday at her home, R.

1, Ionia. She was a teacher in rural schools in the area and was a longtime corespondent for the Ionia Sentinel, an Ionia newspaper. She was a member of the North Plains Community Church and the church's Ladies Society. Surviving are four sons, Howard and Donald, both of Ionia, John of Lakeview and Thomas of Lyons; a foster son, Edward Small of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Tuesday at the North Plains Community Church. jJurial will be in the North Plains Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Shaw-Riv-ett-Hull Funeral Home, Muir. Mitchell Archie D. Mitchell, 71, of 1319 Grovenburg Holt died in a local hospital Saturday. A resident of Lansing most of his life, he was employed at Oldsmobile for 39 years, retiring six years ago, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Barbara J.

Finch of Holt; three grandchildren; two brothers, A. J. and Harold, both of Lansing; and two sisters, Mrs. B. J.

Walkaways Apprehended By Police BEAVER GROVE (UPI) Two men who walked away from the medium security dor--mitory of the Marquette State Prison were apprehended here Sunday night State Police from the Marquette post picked up Wilson Smith, 29, Detroit, and Gary Buffington, 26, East Lansing, who had been reported missing from the prison since Friday night.

Smith had been serving a 5-15 year term for assault to commit robbery while Buffing-ton had been confined on a 7-10 year sentence for breaking and entering.
