Aerial Events, to Be Featured At Buchanan Field Anniversary it US' 'A which dramatically rescued an, injured youth in Yosemite recently, will be demonstrated. Rides in the aircraft will be available to the visitors. Exhibits will be placed by the U.S. Navy, U.S.

Army and Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, Civil 'Air Patrol, California National Guard and air Hnes companies. A feature of the program will be the finish of -the annual Reno to Buchanan Field race, sponsored by the Contra Costa County Development Association. The winner of the race will be presented with a perpetual "trophy by William J. Buchanan veteran chairman of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors for whom the field was named.

ATTACK BY PLANES A mock attack on the field will be staged by National Guard planes during the afternoon. The field was used as a training base by the U.S. Army during the war. It was turned over to the county in 1946 and has been oper ated as a county airport since that time.
