OUTLINE OF OUR COURSES AND COSTS (5) 4 1.3? aft 31 (2) (6; t. 3 MASTER AIRPLANE AND ENGINE MECHANICS COURSE (Thirty-four weeks) $285.00 This highly instructive course is designed for those who want to become expert airplane mechanics and engine specialists, and gives you the intensive training that prepares you to take the Government examination for airplane and engine mechanics licenses.

The Master Airplane and Engine Mechanics Course is a combination of Course No. 3 and Course No. 4. A man holding both licenses is especially qualified for all branches of aviation, and this combination is particularly recommended for those who desire to enter into the field of manufacturing and maintenance. Instruction is given in the well-equipped shop at the Kellogg Airport and may be arranged for either during the day or evening.

AVIATION BUSINESS COURSE (Twelve weeks) $100.00 This course serves many valuable pui poses for those who wish to enter the business and executive branches of Aviation. The industry has need of many men, such as traffic managers, passenger agents, salesmeny accountants, advertising men, and purchasing agents. Also insurance specialists. Lectures on the subjects included in this course will be given twice a week for a period of twelve weeks by competent instructors and by executives- and business men especially proficient in the various subjects taught. Each graduate will receive a pleasant instructive ride in one of our training ships.

AVIATION CORRESPONDENCE COURSE $60.00 This is a course of practical information covering all phases of Aviation and Is designed for those who wish to learn the fundamentals of Aviation but who for financial or other reasons are unable to actively attend the School at this time. The full amount paid on this course will be deducted from the- cost of any flying course taken in the Battle Creek Flying School later. A ride in one of our training ships will complete this course. PILOT MECHANICS GROUND COURSE (Seventeen weeks) $120.00 Our Pilot Mechanics Ground Course exceeds the Department of Commerce requirements for approved schools by twenty-three hours EXTRA instruction. This course is designed especially for those wanting to qualify for a Pilot's license and it covers the same subjects included in all flying courses.

To become a first-class Pilot, you must KNOW YOUR SHIP AND MOTOR. The amount paid on this course will be deducted from the cost of any flying course taken in the Battle Creek Flying School at a later date. PILOT FLYING COURSE AND PILOT MECHANIC GROUND COURSE (Seventeen weeks) $585.00 This course enables you to take the Department of Commerce examination for a Private Pilot license. This license allows you to fly any licensed airplane anywhere within the United States, except for commercial purposes. This course includes the Pilot Mechanics Course (No.

1) as well as ten hours of dual and ten hours of solo flying instruction. Instruction is given two evenings a week in our downtown classroom" and three periods a week in the air at the Kellogg Airport. AIRPLANE MECHANICS COURSE (Seventeen weeks) $150.00 The Airplane Mechanics Course especially prepares you for an airplane mechanics license. Airplane mechanics must be licensed by the U.

S. Department of Commerce before they are permitted to repair licensed aircraft. Practically all airships used today are licensed planes and the need for well-trained mechanics is tremendous. ENGINE MECHANICS COURSE (Seventeen weeks) $150.00 The Eneine Mechanics Course prepares you for an engine mechanics license. With 155 airplane manufacturers in existence today and others springing up all the time, there is a great need for trained engine mechanics.

Airplane engines need overhauling every one or two hundred hours of flying. Mechanics are scarce and demand big pay.
