Martin E. Sifford The above picture will be the complete plant of Trinity Baptist Church, located at 918 East Main Street. The present educational building was built in 1961, with a temporary auditorium having a seating capacity of approximately 325. An older building was moved from the original site to its present location directly behind the new building, accommodating two Sunday School departments, the church kitchen and fellowship hall. The proposed sanctuary is of colonial architecture, with a seating capacity, including balcony, of 1,000. The exterior brick veneer will match that of the existing building that is now in use. The present resident membership is approximately 650, with an additional 90 or more non-resident members. On August 27th of this year, Rev. Martin E. Sifford came as pastor from a pastorate in Missouri. He followed Dr. Myron Dillow, who is now pastor of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg, Illinois.
