John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, Mo. He was born in Polk County and was a lifelong resident of the Cave Springs and Walnut Grove areas. He retired as manager of the Walnut Grove M.F.A. after 35 years of service. He was a farmer and stockman.

He was a 1935 graduate of Morrisville High School. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, and the O'Sullivan Masonic Lodge A.F. A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clinton, and infant Charles Luther Boyd; and a sister, Margurite Hall. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma; a son and daughter-in-law, Jo Boyd, Walnut Grove; six grandchildren, Terry and Jana Hyden, Brock and Michele Thomazin, and Rodney and Tami Boyd; three great-grandchildren, Ty and Hunter Hyden, and Blake Thomazin; a sister brother-in-law, Anna Lee and Murrell Grant, Springfield, a brother-in-law, Robert Hall, Tulsa, and his extended family, the Boggs.

Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in Big Spring Nursing Home, Humansville. Mildred was Dec. 19, 1914, in Rogersville, to John and Molly Clines Minks. She was of the Baptist faith. She married Lloyd Butler on Feb.

17, 1931, in Ozark, and he preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1966. She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Harold, Alvie, Oren, Allen, John and Ed Minks. Cleary Curtis J. Cleary, 18, Springfield, died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 1998, in Columbia, Mo. He was a cook at Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald's, and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Susan Applegate; two brothers, Jason and Steven, both of Springfield; his father, Robert Cleary, state of Georgia; his maternal grandmother, Doris Kopcho, state of New Jersey; and many friends.

Monday, June 29, 1998, in his home. He was born May 4, 1925, in Brookline, and raised in Monett, Mo. He was a retired for International Harvester, retiring after 40 years of service. He was a World War Il U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Judy and Andy Jones, Springfield; a granddaughter and her husand Ross Sherman, St. Louis; a grandson, Brian Jones and his fiancee, Kelly Clark, Kansas City, and a Kenedi Sherman, St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Rachel "Dutch" House; his parents; and a brother, Jim House, Billings, Mo. No visitation 1 is planned. Dorothy Evelyn Lane Dorothy Evelyn Lane, 83, Springfield, passed away May 7, 1998, in her home after a short illness. Mrs. Lane was a longtime resident of Springfield, having lived here most of her life. She is survived by her son, Dan Lane, Springfield; a daughter, Glenda Jennings, Spring Hill, a sister, Barbara Juiliano, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. Lane, in 1984, and a grandson, Justin Lane, in 1991. No services were held in accordance with her wishes. Arlene Milford Arlene Milford, 70, Springfield, died at 7:40 p.m. June 30, 1998, in St.

John's Regional Health Center. The daughter of Arthur and Tina Atkeson, she was born July 7, 1927, in Barry County, Mo. Prior to her retirement, she had been an executive secretary for NASA in Washington, D.C., where she made her home for several years before returning to Springfield in 1989. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ, and NARFE. She is survived by her husband, Paul a daughter, Yvonne Owens and her husband, Al, Springfield, two brothers, Glenn Atkeson, Chesapeake, and John B.

Mitchell, 83, Springfield, died at 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in St. John's Regional Health Center. He was born April 23, 1915, in Odin, to the late John Lee and Frances Logusta Plaster Mitchell. A.T.

worked as a furniture upholsterer until he retired. A.T. and his wife, Vineta, attended Second Baptist Church, and divided their time between Springfield and Tavares, spending winters in Florida and summers in Springfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Elaine; a brother, Johnny Dean; and four sisters, Eula Branstetter, Lena Cameron, Lavon Whittaker, and Flora Bell Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Vineta Gladys, of the home; a daughter and her husband, Jeanette and Ed Doggett, Tavares, a brother and his wife, LeRoy and Mary Mitchell, Springfield, nine sisters, Beula Branstetter, and Alma Todd, both of Marshfield, Pauline Reed, Lincoln, Nadine Terrill, Topeka, Maxine Carter, Hermitage, Imogene Simmons, Ava, Margaret Layne, and Dorotha Dickson, both of Springfield, and Glora Brandenburg, Republic; and a grandchild, Shonda Elaine Doggett, Tavares, Fla.

Nina Maurine Myers Nina Maurine Myers, 89, Springfield, passed away at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 30, 1998, in St. John's Regional Health Center after a brief illness. She was a native on Bond County, where she graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1927, and later taught school. She was a homemaker in St. Louis County, for 59 years.

She was active in church work and was a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Springfield, at the time of her death. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents, William Herbert and Amy, Watson Griggs; her husband, William Kent Myers; and two brothers, Herbert and Forrest. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Norman K.

and Pat Myers, Springfield, and Donald W. and Vivian Myers, St. Louis, three grandsons, Jon Jay, Michael and Matthew W. Myers; two granddaughters, Julie J. and Meghan M.

Myers; and a great-grandson, Jon Jacob. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. today, July 2, 1998, in Gorman Brentwood Chapel with the Rev. Scotty L. Killingsworth and Dr.

Delores, a homemaker, lived her life for her children, Donna, Vernon, and Phillip Taylor, and Robert Small, her step-children, and her granddaughters whom she loved dearly. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, a brother, Ray Cage; a sister, Maria Schultz; many sisters-in-law; her granddaughters, Amanda, Brittany, and Tiffany Small; her beloved best friends, Linda and Mark Bretenstein, Lucky Watkins, Diane Watters, and Bill Petersen; and many other family and friends who loved her dearly. Turner Joanne Turner, 78, Springfield, died Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 1998, in Woodland Manor. Joanne was born April 1, 1920, in Marionville, Mo. She attended school in Springfield, Mo. She lived in the St. Louis area for several years and upon her retirement made her home in Houston, Mo.

She moved back to Springfield in 1990. She had been an active volunteer at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, and the Boys and Girls Town of Springfield, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Turner; her parents, Loren and Gertrude Logan; and a brother, John Logan. She is survived by a son and his wife, Michael and Mimi Serfas, St. Louis; two grandsons, Sean and Jonathan Serfas, San Diego, two sisters, Mary Siegrist, Harrison, and Susie Weber, Palm Beach Gardens, six brothers, Bill Modesto, Loren Logan, Lincoln, James Logan, Moline, Paul Logan, Grandview, David Logan, Greenwich, and Bob Logan, Springfield, as well as several nieces and nephews.

21, 1915, in Carthage, to Joseph E. and Florence Powers Davis. She graduated from Carthage High School and attended Teachers College in Springfield. She married Harry VonStrohe on July 15, 1949, in Carthage, Mo. She was a bookkeeper for Dade County Hospital, Lockwood.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lockwood. Survivors include her husband, Harry, Lockwood; a son his wife, Dennis and Sue VonStrohe; a daughter and her husband, Susan and Nolan Carrier, all of Springfield; a sister, Josephine Ferguson, Carthage; and four grandchildren, Heather Carrier, Dana Carrier, Kari VonStrohe, and Megan VonStrohe, all of Springfield. A sister, Elizabeth Davis, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 1998, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lockwood, with Pastor Gary Griffin officiating.
