Ronald Wayne Rozell CHADWICK Ronald Wayne Rozell, 66, Chadwlck, Mo.t assed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 999, in his home. He was bom Feb. 5, 1933, on Bull Creek, near Chadwlck; to Lawrence William and Thelma Faye Shipman Rozell: He attended Chadwick schools, graduating in 1950.

On March 5, 1953, he was united in marriage to Huba Allien Morrison of Hlghlonosome. Mr. Rozell served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1956, sta. tioned at Fort Carson, Colo.

After serving In the Army, he and Huba returned to Chadwick, where he drove a truck for Ulhman Lumber Company'. He also drove a school bus lor Chadwick School. Throughout his life He worked at many things, in eluding going to wheat harvest, combining fescue seed; and raising beef cattle and horses. Most of his life he was a truck driver. In later years he worked for the U.S.

Postal Service hauling mail to Seda-lia, for more than 13 years. Survivors include his wife, Huba, of the home; his father, Lawrence Rozell, Chadwick; two daughters, Vickie Goin and her husband, Rick, Chad; wick, and Sarah Grubaugh and her husband, John, Ozark; a son, Tom Rozell and his wife, Kristl, Chadwick; five grandchildren, Rintha, Taylor, Drew, Ethan, and Sierra; and a brother, Jerry Rozell and his wife, Linda, Chadwick. He was preceded in death by his mother, and a son, Dale Wayne. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.

Roubinek Dr. Darrell LeRoy Roubinek, the son of Hazel and Leonard Roubinek of Narka, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, In St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, following heart surgery. Darrell, a retired professor of elementary education at Southwest Missouri State University, was an inspired grandparent, "antique-er," and friendly spirit to the last.

Born May 1, 1935, In Narka, Darrell is survived by his wife, Jerri, Springfield, a son, Darren; daughter-in-law, Dar-cy; and grandchildren, Emily, Madeline and Joseph, all of Kansas City. Darrell and Jerri (Thornburgh of Syracuse, Kan.) were married in the University Chapel on the campus of the University of Kansas on Dec. 29, 1959. For nearly 40 years they practiced understanding, compassion and laughter together. Graduating with a B.A.

in Education from Kansas Wes-leyan University, Darrell began teaching in 1957 as a 5th grade teacher in Olathe, while earning an M.A. in Education from the University of Kansas. He later became a building principal and director of curriculum for the Olathe Public Schools. At that time, Darrell was also an active member of the Army Reserves, assigned to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Darrell earned his Doctorate of Education from Oklahoma State University while serving as a building principal in the Stillwater Public School System.

In 1970, he joined the staff at the University of Arizona, Tucson, as a professor of elementary eduation. Moving to Springfield, in 1976, Darrell became a department head at SMSU, where he stayed as a professor for 20 years, retiring in 1996. Darrell was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Springfield, and had served as both a deacon and elder. He spent the last few years and weeks before entering the hospital doing the things he loved most, playing with his grandchildren, refinish-ing antiques and drinking coffee at the Waffle House. Darrell will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and his dog, Penny.

"I'm really going to miss him," said Emily, age 11. "He always made me happy. He's the best guy in the world," said Madeline, age 5. Memorial services will be at Grove, a homemaker, died at 10 p.m. Friday in her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Joe D.

a member of the American Angus Association and took great pride in his livestock. He had a great interest in antiques and was a longtime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. 8c A.M., York Rites and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine of Springfield. Bill and Alice Bishop were united in marriage on Dec.

31, 1949, and to this union a son was bom. Together they were privileged to share over 49 years, and were planning a great celebration for their 50th anniversary. His greatest pride in life was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Bessie Johnson, and two brothers, Olin Johnson on Feb. 2, 1984, and Edwin Johnson, on Sept.

29, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Alice; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve W. and Debra Johnson, Halltown; a grandson, Grant W. Johnson, Springfield; three brothers, Willis and Wesley Johnson, both of Ash Grove, and Calvin Johnson, Everton; two sisters, Gwen Fine, Olathe, and Retha Ella Berry, Miller, 12 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; seven great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Carter Blanche D. Carter, 79, Springfield, passed away at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, in ManorCare Health Services after a long Illness. She was preceded In death by her parents, Harry and Apple Ellen Bolin Walker; an infant son, Gary; two brothers, Earl and Ward Walker; and a granddaughter, Lesley Ann Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Stanley Carter; a daughter, Janice Kaye Wilson ana her husband, Richard; a granddaughter, Lin-dy Fielder and her husband, Bryan; and great-grandchild dren, Elizabeth Carter Fielder, Stephanie Frances Fielder, and Benton Joseph fielder, all of Springfield. Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, following a sudden illness. Bill was born in Halltown, and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Mount Vernon schools and had attended the Nazarene Church of Halltown.

In 1969, he founded Colorgraphic Printing Company in Springfield, Mo. January of 1994 he retired from the commercial printing business and devoted full time to his cattle operation. He was 1 ter, Sally, was also In the Kilties during her years at Central High School. Her husband, Quincey, owned a furniture manufacturing company for many years. Betty was an accomplished knitter and was the owneroperator of Sunshine Knit and Gift Shop in the 1960s and '70s.

She was also an accomplished musician. Betty and her husband were members of Hickory Hills County Club and longtime members of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, where she was active In the Blnnie Clements Guild. She was preceded In death by her parents; her husband, Quincey C. King, in 1972; and her daughter, Sally, in 1989. She is survived by her son, Jack B.

King and his wife, Peggy, Irvine, five grandchildren, Rick Dulin, Ros-well, Danis Dulin Korzen-iewski, Herndon, Linda King, Grand Junction, and Robyn King and Joshua King, both of Nucla, two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Julia Korzeniewski; and a sister-in-law, Fern King, Springfield, Mo. Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, In Hazel-wood Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
