The Board approved a resolution establishing a salary of $5,700 for inexperienced teachers who hold a bachelor's degree for the school year 1967-68. Curriculum Director Ann Osborne gave an explanation of a proposed annual education conference to be held March 3, to the Board members and representatives of-the various schools present. Miss Osborne explained that the in-service training day theme is: "Upper Darby's Elementary Schools: Their Role In The Total Program." For the past year, the elementary staff has been studying and evaluating its own programs and express deep appreciatio and many of the "new" ones. It is in this subject area frame' work that the role of the 1 elementary will be stud in the conference work groups. There will be 15 groups whose leaders are current leaders of the elementary curriculum study.

Teachers not leading the discussions may choose the study group of their interest. The staff of the Clifton Heights schools again participate in the program.
