He spoke before more than 65 persons attending the dinner meeting held in the Banquet House in honor of G. O. P.

candi dates in the April 1 election. Present were George W. Dean, seeking the state board of education post; Frank Merriman, candidate for the state board of agri culture; Mrs. Ethel Jocelyn Watt and Alfred B. Connable, candidates for the state board of re gents.

He said that his office since January has interviewed 479 com plaining witnesses and has issued 181 complaints, prosecuting 106 of them in lower courts (justice and municipal). CIRCUIT COURT LOAD He said 81 misdemeanor and felony cases have been taken to circuit court through his office. Warren said since he took over the circuit court calendar has been reduced from 73 cases during the January term to 56 currently scheduled for trial. Mrs. Rae C.

Later in the evening the four candidates took part in a "Town program, outlining their views following a day-long tour of Ingham county. The lat ter meeting was held in the Woman's clubhouse. Democratic candidates in the spring election are "trying to get a long ride on -the governor's coat tails," G. O.

P. Chairman Lawrence B. Lindemer charged at the meeting. 'The Democratic camp has nothing but criticism and a nega tive program to offer the voters." Lindemer said. "We have a posi tive program which we can carry to tne people.

CARDS OF THANKS 3 HAYNES It is with our deepest grati tude that we express our neart leu thanks to our many friends and brothers and sisters in Christ, for the kindness and for the prayers during this time of shock and sorrow in the loss of our loved one. In conclusion, thank you God for Charlotte and may our love rest with her throughout eternity. Robert. Sandra and Shirley Haynes; Mrs.

Hazel Pettit: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Pettit; Mr. and Mrs. Lei and Pettit; Mr.

and Mrs. Cornellius Pettit: Mr. Gerald PetUt; TSgt and Mrs. Richard Prevo. IN MEMORIAM 4 HAYNES A tribute to our beloved wife and mother, Charlotte S.

Haynes. When I am gone, do not mourn My dearest ones for me. For I shall be by angels borne. Beyond that mystic sea. Beneath my eyelids, closed and 11111, My cold faced, lifeless mask My spirits fled, to do His will.

And In His smile to bask. When cold, cold clouds so rudely fall Upon my final bier, sorrow not. no not at all. Nor shed a single tear. For I'll be gone beyond this land Of shadows, tears and sighs And standing there by God's right hand.

Receive the Heavenly prize. So lift thy head and wear a smile. Nor feel the slightest pain. Just live to join me after while. To never part again.
