Miss Souza Weds Larry E. Farthing Miss Sharon Elaine'Souza, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Souza of 92 Third became the bride of Larry Eugene Farthing, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Donald R. Farthing of H6-B Lawrence Middletown, and Hamilton, Ohio, this noon in St. Joseph's Church. The Rev. Randolph Chew of- Jidated.

Given In marriage by her lather, the bride was attended by Miss Christine Agular, triald of honor; Miss Marilou DiMario, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Margaret Sauerland, cousin bridegroom, as bridesmaids; and Patricia Day as flower girl. Ricky Farthing, brother of the bridegroom, was ring bearer. The bride wore an A-Une silhouette gown of imported silk organza and Chantilly lace with a jewel neckline, camelot sleeves; and a detachable length veil fell from a crown of seedpearlsandcrystalsandshe carried a bouquet of stephanotis and baby white roses. The maid of honor and the flower girl wore maize petal pastel empire-style gowns of organza and taffeta with long ruffled sleeves and matching picture hats. Miss Katharine Veronica Shea, 79, of 4 Brooks Ave. died today in Newport Hospital after a short illness. She had been a bookkeeper for Nunes Motor Co. for 40 years. Miss Shea was born in Newport March 20, 1893, a daughter of John and Ellen O'Connell Shea.

She was past grand regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, past president of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church, a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, and past president of the St. Joseph's-St. Catherine Alumnae Association.

Daisy Kennedy was in charge. C. T. Minkler Funeral Held Friday, May 19 A private service for Chester T. Minkler inventor of the depth bomb that turned the tide against the German U-boats in World War was held yesterday in the Memorial Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tyler L. Johnson pastor of the First Presbyterian Burial was in the Braman Cemetery. Mr. Minkler, who died Tuesday two months short of his 90th birthday, was employed at the Naval Torpedo Station for more than 45 years.

It was there that he invented or developed a number of undersea weapons, including the depth bomb. He leaves a nephew, Calvin E. Minkler of St. Petersburg, and a niece, Mrs. Lois M.
