Ray Vermflya was hostess to the members of 'the Fortnightly dub at a prettily appointed one o'clock luncheon at her borne Thursday afternoon. The luncheon was served at one long table in the dining room. A bowl of bronze chrysanthemums formed the centerpiece and all the appointments were carried out in keeping with Hallowe'en. Miss Louise Obennann, 6ister of Jhe bride, and Miss Martha Wessel, sister of the bridegroom, who were bridesmaids, were, gowned alike in brocaded taffeta. Narrow pleating outlined the neckline and a full skirt fell from the fitted bodice. They wore rose and blue wreaths in their hair, matching the flowers on their dresses.

Miss Obennann was gowned in rose and Miss Wessel in blue. Elmer Holle and Benjamin Hackman were ushers. Mrs. H. V.

Wtakiepleck, Mrs. Geo. Snider, Mrs. John Densford and Miss Laura Greger attended the district American Legion Auxiliary convention at Pekin Thursday. During the afternoon session new officers were installed, with Mrs.
