SATURDAYS 8:00 A.M. TO 6 P.M. SUNDAYS 10:00 A.M. TO 6 P.M. Channel 41 upheld in FCC plea By Our Washington Bureau WASHINGTON The Federal Communications Commission Friday decided to reconsider a Jackson, station transfer which was opposed by Channel 41, of Battle Creek.

On another front, however, the Battle Creek station WUHQ-TV was upheld by the FCC in its opposition to an attempt by Channel 13 (WZZMTV) of Grand Rapids to move its transmitter to a new site. In the Jackson case, the FCC said it would consider the transfer of the assignment of Channel 18 (WKHMTV) from Jackson Television Corp. to Television Associates, and an extension in construction time. Channel 41. had petitioned the FCC to reconsider its decision to accept the application for the transfer of the Jackson assignment.

The FCC found that Channel 41 had "failed to establish a substantive basis for and that the station had not presented any new facts. Grand Rapids' Channel 13, operated by West Michigan Telecasters, had sought permission move its transmitter to a new site 30 miles south of the present location. The FCC held that the new site would be too close WSPD-TV range in Toledo, Ohio. CLASSIFIED HOURS OPEN 8 A.M. 5 P.M.
