Memorials may be given to Church of Christ or First Baptist Church. Ervin "Erv" Eddie DeWitt, 66, of Leesburg, Fla formerly of Seymour, died at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005. He was customer service department manager at the former Union Camp Corp in Seymour, a member of South Pointe Baptist Church of Leesburg, a graduate of Austin High School, and had served in the U.S.

Army. He was born July 3, 1939 in Crothersville, a son of the late Emmett G. and Louise (Mathena) DeWitt. He married Star Ann Weddle Sept. 5,1987.

Qther survivors include a sister, Berna Lee Stark of Seymour; a brother, Joseph Mahlon DeWitt of Austin; a sister-in-law, Phyllis DeWitt of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Robert DeWitt. Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Crothersville, with Rev. Larry DeWitt officiating.

Burial, full military graveside rites conducted by VFW, American Legion, DAV and Vietnam Veterans all of Seymour, will be at Crothersville Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the church. Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Seymour, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Pulmonary Fibrosis, or Gideon International. Lois Jane Voss, 79, Seymour, died Thursday Nov. 24, 2005, at her home. on May 20 was also charged with her murder. In July the two charges combined arid a Feb-'21 trial date was scheduled.

Criminal Rule 4 requires a trial date to be set within six months of a defendant's arrest, unless the defendant requests a continuance. Pierson and Kilburn agreed with the trial date She was a member of Whites Chapel United Methodist Church. She was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Jackson County, a daughter of the late George and Lizzie Brooks Boknecht. On March 28,1948, in Jackson County, she married Marshall Voss, and he died July 22,1994.

Survivors include children, Gary Marshall (Anita) Voss of Huntington and Janie Ann (Timothy) Voss Rucker of Seymour; four grandchildren, Christi (Dale) White, Sarah (Lance) Shearer, Amanda (Steven) Corwin, and Stacey (Jon) Claycamp; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Monday, at Voss Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Krebbs officiating. Burial will be at White's Chapel Cemetery Friends may call from 9 a.m.

until service time today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to White's Chapel United Methodist Church. Edward Russell Barnes, 96, of Seymour, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at his He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of the Infantry Regiment and served in New Guinea and the Southern Philippines. He had started working at US Shoe Company when he was 16 years old, left to serve his country, and returned to the factory until he was 75 years old. He was born' Feb. 10, 1909, in Kentucky, a son of the late Willie Barnes and Polly Jett Barnes. In May of 1947, in Seymour, he married Leota "Patty" Treadway, and she died Sept.

3, 1997. Survivors include a brother, Willie L. Barnes, Frankfort, two sisters, Clare Belle Matthews and Leona Sanders, both of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. 23, in Jackson Circuit Court, Brownstown, ovetia. recent Indiana Supreme Court ruling that could allow a Seymour man accused of murdering 10-year-old Katie Collman of Crothersville to be freed from jail until his trial begins. Judge William Vance heard arguments from Haley Marie Davis, seven months, of Seymour, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Riley Children's Hospital. She was born April 7, 2005, in Indianapolis, a daughter of David Rivers and Christina Ann Davis who survive.

Also surviving are her maternal grandmother, Betty A. Davis Leatherman; step grandfather, Terry Leatherman; paternal grandparents, Loren and Elmo Rivers; maternal great-grandparents, David K. Davis and Penny R. Chasteen; maternal great-great-grandfather, Chester Shipley, and several aunts and She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, David "Blue" Davis. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov.

Heath, 56, Seymour, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at his residence. He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended First Baptist Church. He was born Sept. 18,1949, in Batesville, a son of Andrew Heath and Katie (Marsh) Purcell, and they survive.

Also surviving are his step-father, Phillip Purcell; one brother, Jerry W. (Beverly) Heath of Viva; one sister, Donna Sue (Lawrence) Dean of Batesville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Mae "Patty" Heath. Graveside services were conducted Sunday at Reddington Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Cochran officiat Admissions Nov.

until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Kosair Children's Hospital or Riley Children's Hospital. Terra Beth Cowles, 20, of Medora, died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Bloomington.

She attended Medora High School and graduated from Seymour Christian Academy in 2004. She was employed at Bloomington. She was born Aug. 11, 1985, at Bedford, a daughter of Bryan Cowles and LeeAnn Abner Cowles. They both survive at Medora.

Survivors include two brothers, Ryan Cowles of Medora and Casey Cowles of Seymour; a grandmother, Carlene Abner of Medora; two nieces, Kennedy Cole and Tatum Cowles, both of Seymour; a nephew, Chaz Cowles of Medora; a stepmother, Rhonda Cowles of Medora; and a stepbrother, Ryan Autry of Medora. She was also preceded death by grandparents, Melvin and Mary Cowles and a grandfather, Raymond Abner. Funeral' services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, with Pastor John Thrasher officiating.

Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Dallas L.

Hohnstreiter, 79, of Seymour, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, at his home. He was' a graduate of Shields High School, -Franklin College; and" Indiana University with a masters degree. He furthered his education at Butler University and Ball State Teachers College.

He taught at several places before retiring after 15 years as superintendent for Hamilton Heights School Corp. He was born June 4, 1926, at Seymour, the only son of Edna Lange Hohnstreiter Reater, who survives in Seymour. He was preceded in death by his -stepfather, Albert W. Reater, who died June 20, 1985. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. There will be no visitation. Voss Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
