GRACE FELLOWSHIP a church for a nations the scallop chili ($13.95) on the specials board, and decided to order that. I think he thought it was like home-style chili, but made with scallops. I ordered the crispy duck red curry When my husband's meal arrived, he was surprised it was boiled scallops with a chili glaze sauce (similar to what was served with the spring rolls), and steamed vegetables on a bed of white rice. He liked the scallops, but did not care for the sauce. My duck was very crispy, in a curry sauce with vegetables on top of white rice.

I enjoyed the duck because of the sweet curry taste and the crisp-cooked carrot slices. The duck entree was a large portion, which we could have split; instead we took the leftovers home and I ate them for lunch for the next day. We enjoyed our experience at Pie Thai, because our server was friendly, and our food was well prepared. MIMI PERREAULT At Pie Thai in Royal Palm Beach, I found some tasty twists on Thai favorites and exceptional service. I'm always up for something different, as long as it tastes good and is served with a smile.

After my husband and I took a seat, our server greeted us and took our drink orders. We each ordered a Thai iced tea and a glass of water (in preparation for any spicy foods) Meanwhile, we ordered spring rolls ($3.95) and curry puffs ($5.95) Our server then brought out some house chicken noodle soup, with an Asian taste to it, with our appetizer order. The three spring rolls were stuffed with bamboo shoots and other vegetables and served with a side of sweet chili sauce. The four curry puffs were like fried wontons with a mixture of mashed sweet potatoes and curry powder. Both were filling, and the curry puffs were surprisingly sweet.

With the curry powder, I expected them to be spicy.
