Trips into the mountains around here have gotten trickier over the years for residents and campers and hunters, as gas stations in Hope, Pi on and Sacramento have shut. Now, the one gas store in the village of Weed closed the weekend after the recent Memorial Day holiday. It was one of the few stations anywhere in the Sacramento district of the forest, and the closest to the remote Guadalupe district.
