Then, Erma Fach said, her goal became them to know and appreciate algebra so much that they will want to go on with advanced math in high school and to continue their education in that Fach also known as Ms.

Womble and Mrs. Campbell, over the years taught the subject for more than 30 years in the Albuquerque Public Schools, and for about 40 years in total during her career. A former teacher at schools that included Washington, Wilson and Van Buren junior highs, Fach died March 12 at age 93. A memorial service for the city resident will take place at 2 p.m. today in the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal SE.

She initially taught in Farmington and Lovington. In 1944, she began teaching in the Albuquerque Public Schools and stayed until she retired in 1977. was a born Wright said. was intrinsic to her, and I know the students cared a great deal about her. They got a lot out of her Described as a dedicated teacher, Fach inspired joy and devotion, as shown in the following letter one student wrote to her: heard today that you were having your operation, and I just had to drop you a note to tell you how much I miss your jokes and stories and your assets as a teacher.

She also managed the Echo Canyon area in the East Mountains that was developed by her late husband, Fred Fach. was doing this up until the day she Wright said. in her head, she kept all those numbers and figures. Woman Was 30-Year APS Vet Erma Fach She Was Dedicated Math Teacher FACH: Longtime algebra teacher loved photography, gardening By Stacey Plaisance The Associated Press NEW ORLEANS New Orleans blues singer-pianist Eddie Bo, who worked with musicians such as Irma Thomas and Art Neville, has died of a heart attack. He was 79. His death was confirmed Friday by his close friend and booking agent Karen Hamilton. Hamilton said Eddie Bo, whose real name was Edwin Joseph Bocage, had a massive heart while out of town Wednesday. She said he very quickly, very Bocage was an accomplished keyboardist-pianist with a career spanning more than five decades.

Hamilton said he counted Professor Longhair as one of his biggest inspirations.
