He was born in Albion and he had lived in Calhoun County all his life. He was a 1961 graduate of Homer High School and served four years with the Marines during the Vietnam era.

He was employed by Union Products in Albion, Addison Products in Jonesville and Select Mobile Homes. He was last employed by the Starr Commonwealth School grounds maintenance department until his illness. He was a member of American Legion Post 55 and Loyal Order of the Moose of Albion. He enjoyed woodworking and talking on the CB radio, his handle was "Screwball." Surviving are his wife, the former Judy Worthington of Homer, a son, Robert E. Murray of Have-lock, N.C.; daughters, Dawn Vorce of Bronson and Brenda Murray of Homer, and three grandchildren.

Pierce, 89, of 37 W. Alden died Wednesday, Oct. 1 7, 1 990, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, where he had been a patient for two years. He had been ill several years. He was born in Michigan and came to Battle Creek in 1963 from Ann Arbor.

He worked for Pierce Grocery Ann Arbor, for 20 years. He later was an inspector with the federal government for 1 7 years until retirement. After retirement, he was a crossing guard with the Battle Creek Public Schools. He had been affiliated with Boy Scouts of America for more than 60 years. His wife, the former Alta Linton, preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Marie Pierce of Ann Arbor, and a brother, Leon Pierce of Centre-ville. His body was donated to the medical research department at University of Michigan Hospital. No services will be held. Memorial donations may go to Michigan Heart Association. Arrangements are by Royal Funeral Home.

Julie A. Sager DELTON Julie A. Sager, 28, of 12680 S. Wall Lake Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1990 at Bor-gess Medical Center after a lenghty illness.

She was a salesperson for several stores in Indiana and Illinois. Her husband, John W. Starke, died in 1975. Surviving are a son, John R. Starke of Calumet City, DL; a daughter, Janice Starke of Hastings; three grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Fronczak of Hastings.

Services were scheduled for today in St. Andrews Church, Calumet Gladys E. Babcock Gladys E. Babcock, 86, of 135 Avon died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1990, at the Mercy Pavillion.

J.K. McDonald J.K. McDonald, 84, of 727 An-drus died Wednesday, Oct. 1 7, 1990, at Battle Creek Health SystemLeila Site, where he had been a patient since Sunday. Bom in Jackson, he was raised in Marshall and was a graduate of Marshall High School.

He came to Battle Creek in the 1920s and attended Argubright Business College. He was employed by the old Oliver Michigan Central Railroad and Edgett and Hall Moving. He was last employed by Kellogg Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1968. He was a member of St.

Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Kellogg Traffic Club and Kellogg 25-Year Club. He was a former member of St. Philip Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Mildred C.
