11 (Royal i Girl's Battle For Mat JCdrd May 8 t- A girls' elimination battle royal, featuring five of the nation leading feminine wrestling stars, Will take the feature spot on the riext VFW wrestling card to be held in Presser Hall on Saturday night. May 8. There will be no matches here this Saturday. A girls' battle royal starts ou with all of the five contestants in the ring at the opening bell. Each girl is out to pin any of her four rivals and anything goes with only strangle holds barred.

There is no time limit during the battle royal and it will continue until only two girls remain in the ring The first girl pinned is eliminated for the evening. The second and third girls, pinned'in that order, will return later to "battle it out for consolation honors. As soon as the third girl is pinned, the two girls remaining in the ring become the finalists and they retire to the dressing! room for a rest period. The girls' battle elimination will open the May 8 card. Following the elimination down to two unbeaten girls, the second and third contestants will meet in the consolation match which will go one fall with a 30-minute time Then the two undefeated finalists will meet for the elimination championship in a match that is slated to go one fall to a' time limit.

The gigantic mat card will be concluded with a men's heavyweight feature match' that is slated to go the best two out of three falls or a-90-minute time limit. VFW Matchmaker Jim Chemi said he is lining up the five girls to-sign contracts for the battle royal. The names of the girls who will compete in the free for- all elimination will be announced Jater this week. -In last Saturday's matches, Marshall Esteppe won by a disqualification over rowdy Lou Newman of Calgary, Canada. Esteppe took the first fall with an arinlock and press, then was awarded the deciding fall when Referee Sammy Feeback disqualified Newman for failing to stop the use of a strangle hold.

Brown Resigns As FHS Coach, To Miami Job Leonard Brown, Fulton High School coach, announced Tuesday that he had accepted a pbsi- ion as backfield coach at Miami, Fla.) high school. The Miami school has 2,500 pupils. A former all-Big Six quarterback and a graduate of Missouri University, Brown took over the coaching assignment at Fulton last fall, and guided the Hornets to an undefeated season in the Nemo League and the loop championship. Brown played under Chauncy Simpson at M. U. for two years, and his last year under Don Faurot.

He uses the formation developed at M. U. Brown's announcement came three days before the deadline for Fulton teachers to return their contracts. He said that the Miami offer of $3,500 represented a $1,100 yearly increase over his Fulton salary of $2,400.
