Lansing Girl Speaks Nuptial Vows Saturday Canada is the destination of honeymooners Mr. and Mrs. Virgil S. Southwell who were married Saturday at 2 p. m.

in South Baptist church. Rev. Malcolm Cronk officiated before 200 guests. The bride is the former Miss Betty Jane Whitcraft, daughter of Mrs. Alma Whitcraft, 613 Jessop avenue.

She was married to the son of Mrs. Lizzie Southwell of Shaftsburg. Music during the service was presented by Miss Betty Rideout, accompanied by George Fisher in her vocal numbers. The bride's gown of white satin featured seed pearls trimming the sweetheart neckline. A tiara of artificial apple blossoms gave a halo effect: securing a full-length veil and the same blossoms were sprinkled over the veil.

She carried a prayer book topped by a white orchid tied with silver ribbon and white streamers. Matron of honor for her sister was Mrs. Norma Green whose pink chiffon gown was styled with a sweetheart neckline, puffed sleeves and a hoop effect. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Geraldine Taylor and Mrs.

Elaine Hunter who wore pink gowns with pink net over the skirts. Their flowers were colonial bouquets of white carnations and pink roses. Best man was Robert Hunter and guests were ushed to their places by Emmett Careerwend Ronald Taylor. The received their guests in the church parlors following the service. When they return from their honeymoon July 11, they will be at home at 1002 East High street.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cowan, 1929 Roberts lane, and the mother of the bridegroom is Mrs.

Frank Hunsaker, of Charlotte. Dr. D. Stanley Coors performed the 2 p. m.

nuptials before a flower-banked altar. Vocal numbers were sung by Miss Jane Ann Ingledew. A high lace neckline was featured in the bride's dress and a heartshaped pearl headdress secured her net veil trimmed in white lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of white gardenias. Miss Ingledew attended as maid of honor, wearing a yellow colonial style dress complemented by a colonial bouquet.

Briesmaids were Miss Pauline Olds, cousin of the bride, wearing a pink colonial dress, and Mrs. Ruth Froust, wearing matching aqua gown. Each carried a pink rosette. Best man was Elmer Hunsaker and guests were seated by Jack Davis, Larry Froust, Jack King and Ray Hocguard. A reception in the church parlors followed the wedding service.

Mrs. Edna Adams, Miss Gartha Rosier, Miss La Vaugh Reimann and Miss of Joyce Andrus assisted. The newlyweds will make their home at 627 East Kalamazoo street. Y. W.

The high round neckline of the bride's gown was accented by a yoke coming to a V-shape in front and back, edged with ruffles of matellasse organdie edged, in turn, by French lace repeated at the waist. The trainless gown was styled with a basque bodice and full skirt. Waxed orange blossoms secured a fingertip length veil and she carried a colonial robouquet predominated by white Ice blue crepe worn by her matron of honor, Mrs.

Marvin R. McClellan of Cincinnati, O. It was accented by a side drape with silver sequins, round neckline, cap sleeves and a matching blue net poke bonnet. She carried pink roses and gardenias. Miss Rose Mary Stimson.

Virginia Palmer Feier of Los Angeles, Cal. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Rose, 2325 South Cedar street.

Rev. Gordon H. Roloff officiated at double-ring ceremony and music was furnished during the service by Mrs. Cyrus J. Rath, vocalist, accompanied by Mrs.

Milo Langworthy. Attending the couple were the bridegroom's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Johnston.

The bride chose a pastel yellow suit accented by a white an bonnet of straw with white veiling tied in a large bow under her chin. She carried a Victorian bouquet of white roses and pale yellow snapdragons. Mrs. Johnston's sand-colored ensemble was touched off by navy blue accessories. She carried a bouquet of talisman roses and deep blue delphinium.

She wore chartreuse and black accessories. Edward Grahm was best man. A reception in Plymouth house followed the ceremony. The bridal table was set with a hand-made lace cloth and centered with the wedding cake, surrounded by garlands of summer flowers. The cake was cut by Mrs.

Fitch, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Frank Bergin precided at the silver coffee service, assisted by Mrs. Oliver Bertram of Detroit and Mrs. Jack Taylor. a honeymoon in western Michigan, Mr.

and Mrs. Stewart make their home at 720 West Allegan street. the church parlor following the nuptial ceremony. White blossoms circled the wedding cake and assisting during the reception were Mrs. Bernard Palmer.

They will travel through northern Michigan on their wedding trip and in September will live in Big Rapids where the bridegroom is enrolled in the school of pharmacy at Ferris institute. All tendants wore short white gloves and carried colonial bouquets. Best man was Thomas Birdsell and ushers were Jack Fuller Bill Becktell. Following their wedding trip Minneapolis, the couple be at home July 9, at 205 Park street, Mason.
