and Goldie V. (Baugher) Chadderdon. She was a life resident of the area and a graduate of Spring Arbor Christian graduate of Lakeview High School. Mr. Halloran had been associated with his father as a manufacturing jeweler and was self-employed in the same trade the past few Dennis J.

Halloran Herbert R. Case Olivet Herbert Roland Case, 84, of Olivet died Saturday, Oct 1, 1994, at home. He was born in Battle Creek to James T. and Helena (Kellogg) Case. Mr.

Case was an eletrician-aviation engineer for Northrup Aviation and for General Electric. He was a member of St John's Episcopal Church, Charlotte, and a life member of Brookfield Lodge 439 Surviving are his wife, Betty; daughters, Peggy Parrott and Mary McGuire of Olivet, and Kay Rogers of Garberville, a son, Robert Case of Puyallup, 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aleshkewich worked 20 years with AAA Motor Club as an office supervisor. She also worked 26 years as an underwriter with Wolverine Insurance which later became years. He served as a U.S. Army military police officer from December 1971 to November 1973.

Surviving are his mother, Eileen E. Halloran of Battle Creek; a brother, Thomas F. Halloran of Vicksburg; and sisters, Gale E. McKay of Battle Creek and Sannon A. Hammond of Rolling Meadows, HL His father, Thomas A.

Gladys V. Aleshkewich Anna R. Mills Coldwater Anna Ruth (Marr) Mills, 66, of Coldwater, died Friday, Sept 30, 1994, after a long illness. She was bom April 6, 1928, in Jackson to Sylvester L. and Lillian (Lenox) Marr.

She graduated in 1945 from Jackson High School Mrs. Mills was a teacher's aide for 10 years in Union City Public Schools. She enjoyed making jewelry and was a collector of movies. She also was an avid piano player. She married Arthur P.

Mills Jr. in 1946 and they lived in Jackson, Qtrin-cy and Union City areas. He died in 1982. She moved to Coldwater in 1993. She also was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.

Surviving are daughters, Teresa Mills of Coldwater and Debra Ba-lowski of Bronson; sons, Thomas Mills of Seminole, Michael Mills of Union City, Samuel, Patrick and Bruce Mills of Coldwater; a brother, Ernest Marr of Beulah; and 12 grandchildren. Man pushed down stairs: A 19-year-old Battle Creek man said he was hurt after a 21-year-old roommate shoved him down a flight of stairs about 6:30 pjn. Friday at a house in the 100 block of Caine Street He told Battle Creek police he was moving out when his roommate tried to keep some of his property until he paid his rent An argument ensued, the roommate pushed him and the victim fell down the stairs.

He injured his arm, back, hip and knee, but did not seek treatment at a hospital. The suspect was arrested under the spouse abuse law. Guns Seized: Battle Creek police seized two handguns about 8:35 pjn. Wednesday after chasing a car on Hubbard Street Police tried to stop the car after its driver failed to dim the car's bright lights. The car also had no tail lights.

He formerly was married to Elinor Brown of New York; they were married in 1946. Surviving are sons, Kenneth E. David Jude of Grand Junction, and Paul Warren of Grand Rapids; a daughter, Roberta Ellen Santoni of Iron Mountain; sue grandchildren; and a sister, Marian Brown of Grand Junction. Smoker Bronson Anna B. (Wotta) Smoker, 93, of 227 Buchanan St, Bronson, died Saturday, Oct 1, 1994, in Sturgis Hospital She was bom July 14, 1901, in Bronson to Lawrence and Frances (Sobczak) Wotta and was a life resident of Bronson. She worked at Douglas Manufacturing Co. She then devoted her life to raising her family. Mrs.

Smoker was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Society. She was known to many as "Busia" and enjoyed talking about "old times." She liked to bake and cook. She and her husband were king and queen of the Bronson Polish Festival in 1972. She married Franklin J. Smoker on April 12, 1921, in St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Bronson.

He died June 21, 1988. Surviving are a son, Francis Smoker of Bronson; a daughter, Margaret Russo of Coldwater; six grandchflren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Smoker in 1927; a son, Robert Smoker, in 1939; five sisters; two brothers; two step-sisters, and three step-brothers. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kolcz Funeral Home, Bronson, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 pjn.

Tuesday at the funeral home. Fred M. Deventer Bedford Township Fred M. Deventer, 87, of Bedford Township, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 1994, in Arrowood Nursing Center.

He was born Nov. 13, 1906, in Allen County, to George and Ga-brielle (Marsten) Deventer and attended schools in Allen County. Mr. Deventer was a welder. He worked 15 years at Oliver Farm Implement Co.

until it closed and then 10 years at Prabb Robot, Kalamazoo, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans in Battle Creek and the Battle Creek Gun Club. Mr. Deventer was U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a private.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and walking. He married the former Nellie L. Spees in 1951 in Angola, Ind. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Diane LaBelle of Battle Creek; a sister, Hazel Mock of Kalamazoo, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Wilbur Deventer; and sisters, Gladys Teller and Helen Kesson. Visitation: After 2 p.m. todayat Bach-man Hebble Funeral Service, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.

McCoy, 74, of Battle Creek, a retired Kellogg Co. art director, died Monday, Sept 26, 1994. Mr. McCoy was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Niles to Edmond M.

McCoy and Laura C. (Anderson) McCoy. He graduated from Niles High School and attended Western State College of Colorado and graduated from West-em Michigan University. Mr. McCoy went to work at Kellogg Co.

upon graduation in 1947 and retired in 1981. He served from January 1942 to September 1945 during World War II with the 9th Air Force in Egypt and Lybia and with the 12th Air Force as a photo intelligence specialist in Tunisia, Italy and Sardinia. He was a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Drill Team and Kalamazoo Valley Craftsmen. He also had been a leader in the Indian Guides and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed trailering and fishing and was a raconteur.

After retirement, he spent summers at Waffle Farm at Craig Lake near Coldwater and wintered in Mesa, Ariz. Schlosser, 78, of Erie, and formerly of Battle Creek, died Wednesday, Sept 28, 1994, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Erie after a short illness. He was bom Jan. 6, 1916, in Mead-vffle, to Robert B. and Mary EDen (Jude) Schlosser. He grew up in Springville, N.Y., and lived there 25 years.

Mr. Schlosser worked seven years as a reporter at the Springville Journal During World War he worked five years as a special service officer with the U.S. Air Force. He organized the dates, entertainment and acts for U.S.O. shows.

After the war, he returned to the Transamerica Insurance retiring in August 1992. She was a member of Hickory Cor-ners American Legion Auxiliary, Ea-glfesLodge, Michigan Underwriters Association and Transamerica Women's Club. Mrs. Aleshkewich enjoyed bowling, golfing, crocheting, gardening and dancing. -Her husband, Alex, died in 1979.

Surviving are daughters, Susan K. Hill of Bellevue and Mary Markos of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and sisters, Lois J. Piper of Battle Creek, Grace E. Ru-sack of California and Ethel G. Van-Nocker of Grayling.

"Andy" Andersen in 1936. He died Aug. 28, 1979. She also was preceded in death by sisters, Florine KuH, Ruth Barts and Barbara Carley; brothers, Irving and Victor Lucker; and seven half-brothers and half-sisters. Surviving are a sister, Helen Berndt of StevensviHe; and brothers, Alan Lucker of St.
