Fred H. Lieneman of Filley, was marrieda to Harm Ideus, son of Mrs. Harm Ideus of Sept. 15, 3:30 P. p.m., the Zion Lutheran church.

Rev." Hieronymus performed the double ring ceremony in the "presence of .300 guests before a background baskets of gladioli, roses, asters, phlox, and peonies. Wedding marches were played by Mr. Andereesen, organist. Carol Ann. of the bride, and Vernina Meints, who wore blue dresses with net skirts, sang "Take the Name of Jesus with You," and "Speak to My Soul." The bride was gowned in white with a net yoke which had sequins, satin midriff, net skirt, and a train of several yards.

She wore white gloves. Mrs. Jerry Busboom, of Filley. matron of hpnor, wore pink net over -satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Her gloves were of pink lace. PARTY HONORS BIRTHDAY Mrs. Dorothy Littell entertained group after school Tuesday in honor. of her son, Jerry's, 8th birthday. After games, a birthday cake: and ice cream were, served.

Two large baskets of gladioli decorated the rectory room; and the bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a white suit with an orchid shoulder corsage. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the Heimes Cafe in Concordia. The three-tiered wedding cake centered the bride's table and bowls of gladioli decorated the guest tables.

Fred W. Totsch of Beatrice, was married to Raymond Starkey, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Starkey of Beatrice, Sept. 15, 4 p. at St.

Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. J. J. Timken performed the ceremony in the presence of 200 guests before a background ferns, two tall baskets of white gladiolas and asters, with a bouquet of white asters on the altar.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, gowned in heavy white satin with a medium train, sweetheart neckline and a blush veil, Her tiarra was of pearls and orange blossoms. She' wore a strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of Johanna Hill roses. Matron of honor was Mrs. Furcel F. Friday, sister of the bride.

She wore 'a yellow gown and carried a bouquet of rose asters. Bridesmaids, Mrs. Erwin Totsch, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Clarence Flesner, sister of the bridegroom, dressed in aqua gowns and carried bouquets of pale pink asters. Miss Idola Boch, candlelighter, wore a pink gown and a yellow gladiola corsage.

Best man was Furcel F. Friday, brother-in-law of the bride. Erwin Totsch, brother of the bride, and Clarence Flesner, brother-in-law of the bridegroom were ushers. The bride's mother wore a plum crepe dress and a corsage of talisman roses, The bridegroom's mother was dressed in black crepe with a corsage of red roses. Following the ceremony a reception held at the Fred Totsch residence for fifty guests.

Ed budget and finance, Mra. Robert Sargent And Mrs. Harry Fisher. Barton Kline, superintondent of schools, explained the proposed school alr amendment campaign which 18 headed by state wide P. T.

Following the business meeting a school of information was held for council and local officers. Mrs. W. P. Wilson, district VI director, was instructor.

Representatives from DeWitt, Wymore, Holmesville, and Pickrell were among the near hundred in attendance. After the school of instruction, a reception was held for Mr. and Mrs. Kline. Committee in charge of refreshments were: Mesdames Wiegand, Fisher, And Jenkins.

Mrs. Aringdale poured, Queen Esthors The Queen Esther Sociely of the Methodist church met at the Fireside room of the church, Tuesday after school. The meeting opened with songs. Josephine Snook was in charge of devotions. The Bible lesson WAS given by Joyce Arnold and Juan Closs read the story, "An African Girl." The candle light service was used in closing.

Jerry Busboom of Filley was best man, Albert Siefkes of Filley ushered. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's home for 120. guests, Gladiolis and roses decorated the serving room. The three tier wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Henry Lieneman.

Lenora Ehmen, Evelyn Parde. Doris Parde, Clarissa Fritzen, and Freida Miller assisted with servingin bridal couple will live on a farm near Beatrice. no business meeting due to the absence of officers. The afternoon was spent in games, with prizes going to Mrs. Esther Rains and Mrs.

6th st. ALTAR SOCIETY MEETS St. Joseph Altar Society Circle 5 met Thursday at the home of Emma Grell with Mrs. Henry Lang assisting hostess. There were 14 members 'and two guests present.

12 and 13 at the Lutheran church, near Pickrell, when 16 bushels of peaches were canned and made into peach butter for the Lutheran hospital at Beatrice. The ladies of the Aid sponsored the work.
