Another younger daughter burned very badly, and moat of the hair brrmed from her head. Mr. Moore slightly horned. Mr. McXntee slightly burned.

Philadelphia, waa going with her children to put them to bed, having a baby ia ber anna a little daughter, carrying a camphene lamp, let it fail, and it exploded the flamea instantly enveloped her, and burned her severely that she died about three hours after. Mrs. Warner was badly burned in her effort toextinguiah tae flames. He ran to a lar ge ta1 of water and extinguished the flames. He is so badly burned, that there is but little hore of his recovery. Nearly all of tbe accidents, hers recorded, occurred in New-York and Brooklyn. 'Tio doubt there were many mora which esc sped being noticed. NEW-YORK CITY. The Extradition Case of Thomas Kain. The United Statea Marshal appeared before Judge Boa- worth yesterday morning, but did not produce the body of the prisoner.

It waa stated to tbe Court that it waa deemed oaaafe to bring tbe prisoner oat of confinement, and that all the essential objects of the writ could be answered without the body of Kaine. To this, Mr. Brady replied, that he ahonld Insist apon his right to have the man before the Judge in accordance with the terms of the statute, and, after considerable discussion, ths whole matter was adjourned until Monday next, and an order waa made requiring the Marshal to reta Kaine in hia cuatody, and to have hia body in Court on Monday next. A very large number of peraons attended to hear the case, and seemed to have a deep interest in tbe proceedings. It is, however, the prevalent opinion that if Kain ia brought out of the Tombs, he will never go back again-Under these circumstancea, would it not be advisable to make the writ of habeas corpus returnable within the wells of that building, as waa done in ths raae of John C.

Colt Destrcction of Messrs. Haven' Distillery Los estimated at 9100,000 The old Jewish SvifAQooiE Damaged. Yeaterday afternoon, at 4 o'clock, a fire out in the rear portion of a large Cordial and Liijuor Distillery, situated in Elm, sbove Canal-street, and occupied by Messrs. II. Havena Son.

From the appearance of the fire when first observed, it must have been smouldering for some time before it waa visible, aa the flamea burst through the upper stories snd other portions of the building simultaneously, and spread with great rapidity. Tha Fire Department arrived in full force, and in a few minutea there were more than a doxen powerful streams playing on the front snd rear of the establishment, but apparently with little effect, aa the Are aeemed to rage more fiercely than before. This. wae owing to a yast quantity of Alcohol, New-England Rum, and other liquors being directly beneath where the fire caught, and finally communicated with the barrels, pipes, and hogsheads, several of them exploded and at this time, the main building, out-buildings, and wooden vats, were entirely enveloped in flamea. The streams of water were increased from all directions, and the Firemen labored with increaaing energy.

The heat finally becaine ao intenae, that no peraon could stsnd within half block of the manufactory and finding the walls would fall, and there beiog no hope of saving the property from destruction, the entire front of the. building was cleared and no sooner had the men reached the opposite side of Canal-street, than the massive gable-end tumbled down with a tremendous craah. The front wall, baama, and floors, next fell, and the entire building waa laid in mine. The expensive machinery, and endlesa quantity of varioua kinds of apparatua for distilling purposes, will form a great part of the Ioaa. Tbe building occupied several lota of ground, was fivs stories in height, and every loft contained vast quantities of liquors for exporting.

The junior partner of the firm could not give any accurate atatement of hia loss. However, from a rough estimate, it is thought the entire destruction of property will not fall much short of There were insurances on the stock, fixtnrea, and premises, amounting to $23,000, divided among eight or tn City and country Insurance Companies. During this conflagration; several other building in the vicinity caught fire, and Were considerably damaged The old Jewish Synagogue, (opposite) now occupied, by the New-Haven Railroad Company, as a freight depot-caught fire in the cupola, bat it was saved. A dwelling-house in Orshge-street waa slightly damaged, and the wooden rookeriea at No. 18, 18 and 90 Canal-street were more or less damaged by catching fire from the spark a.

Fire in Lewis-street. On Wednesday evening, about 5 o'clock, a fire broke out in the coffee and spice factory of G. D. Johnston, at No. 35 Lewis-street, which would havs destroyed the establishment, but for the timely discovery of the flamea by some citizens.

The Thirteenth Ward Police, with a few pails of water, extinguished the fire with trifling damage. Injunction. A temporary injunction has been granted by Judge Greenwood, of Brooklyn, restraining certain parties who, under authority from the Corporation of this City, had commenced tbe work of extending piers at the root of Bridge-street, Brooklyn, with the view of establishing the proposed ferry. This will make iWork for the lawyers, as the question will involve the ferry franchise, and the right between high and low water mark, now in dispute. Columbia College.

The annual Examination of the Classes, which has been in progress daily since Tuesday, 6th will be concluded to-day, with the examination of the the classics. BROOKLYN CITY. Eleventh Ward. Last evening the Lundy's Lane Barrack Association assembled at their new hall, corner of Myrtle-avenue and Navy-street, for the purpose of completing their organization and making preparations for a grand Whig rally on Monday evening next, in honor of the Battle of Lundy's Lane.

At which time Measrs. II. J. Raymond and F. A.

Talmadge, of New-York City, snd II. N. Conger, of New-Jersey, snd others will address the meeting. This Association Is rapidly increaaing, about sixty joined laat evening. A splendid flag has been presented to the Association and will be unfurled to the breeze on Monday evening for the first time.

Canarsie. A party of gentlemen from Brooklyn proceeded to Canarsie on Wedneaday, for the purpose of assisting in raising a Scott and Graham flag-pole, making the preliminary arrangements for a ratification meeting. Tbe Committee from Brooklyn assembled with the Whigs of Canaraie at the house of Mr Bogart, when the necessary arrangements were made for a grand de nionstration to come off some time next week at that place.
