She was born April 20, 1923, in Wauconda, to Robert and Laura (Jacobson) Vasey. She married Ossie Zimmerman in June 1970 in Rockford.

Survivors include her children, Dale (Sandra) Price of Crystal Lake, Jack (Liz) Price of Peoria and Susan (Dan) Hedenburg of Fredricksburg, nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leslie "Red" Vasey of Wauconda. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Francis Vasey and Floyd Vasey. The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at White Cemetery, West Cuba Road, a quarter-mile west of Route 59, Barrington.
