In 1984 she moved to Texas and in 1988 returned to McHenry. The daughter of George and Patricia (Rad) Barber, she was born Aug. 21, 1959, in Woodstock. On March 1, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, she married Timothy Cornwell. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry.

Terri, who befriended and touched the lives of many people around her, is survived by her husband, Timothy; her children, Vanessa Beth Kruckenberg, Myles Timothy Cornwell and Faith Elaine Cornwell, all of McHenry; her father, George of Wonder Lake; her mother, Patricia of Dallas; a sister, Georgene Barber of Tampa, and her grandparents, George and Ethel Rad of McHenry and George and Clara Barber of Butternut, Wis. Margaret L. Hefner WOODSTOCK Margaret L. Hefner, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1991, in her home. Born in Magnolia, 111., on May 19v 1910, she was the daughter of the late Christ and Tillie (Lin-dahl) Nelson.

On June 1, 1929, in Varna, 111., she married Bert M. Vauk, 65, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1991, at his home. He was born April 26, 1926, in LaCrosse, the son of the late Lewis and Eva (Campfield) Vauk. He was raised in LaCrosse and settled in McHenry more than 30 years ago. On Oct.

8, 1955, he married Jan Benson in Chicago. He was a retired truck driver for J.T. General Store (formerly Jewel in Barrington. After his 1988 retirement, he drove a bus for Johnsburg School District 13 for three years. He was a member of the McHenry Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No.

0691. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons, Ronald (Carla) Vauk Jr. of Spicer, and Randy (Gayle) Vauk of McHenry four grandchildren, Sarah and Cary Vauk of Spicer, and Kristin and Kayla Vauk of McHenry; and an aunt, Thelma Moore of LaCrosse.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the George R. Justen Son Funeral Home and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug.

WOODSTOCK Willert "Bill" Russel, 76, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1991, at Memorial Hospital, Woodstock. He had been Seneca Township supervisor, served as chairman of the McHenry County Board and was instrumental in moving the courthouse to its present location. The son of the late Christ and Emma (Seehausen) Russel, he was born Jan. 4, 1915, in Ind.

On Oct. 22, 1938, he married Helen Parker Russel, who preceded him in death. He began working for Standard Oil and was an auctioneer from 1945 to 1990. During the 1950s and 1960s, he was owner and operator of the Woodstock Commission Sales Barn. He had been recorder of deeds for McHenry re ax, your baby's progress every step of the way.

A granddaughter, Wendy She belonged to the First United Methodist Church, Woodstock. She was a charter member of the Ridgefield Grange and a member of its Pomona and the State and National granges. She also belonged to the McHenry County Historical Society and the Union Homemakers. Mrs.

Hefner was the mother of three sons, Marvin M. (Sally) of Hazelhurst, Roger W. (Penny) of Woodstock and R. Dale (Coral) of Tucson, and had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Margaret Irene Kayser, a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Alice Nelson, preceded her in death.

South Woodstock, 1L 60098, 815 338.2500 ARRESTS Police nab 4 on drug charges By JILL JANOV The Northwest Herald WOODSTOCK A five- month investigation conducted by sheriffs police ended Friday when police arrested four men on drug charges. The men were apprehended at a Woodstock house at which the suspects held large parties that police said involved the sale of illicit drugs. Police had the house, 7801 W. Route 120, under surveillance for five months before raiding it and finding about an ounce of cocaine worth $8,500 inside, said Chief Deputy Robert Crabtree.

Crabtree, who led the investigation, said before their arrest, the residents and their friends were scheduled to have a party Saturday. Police have received complaints about the party-goers and the alcohol served at the parties. Arrested on Class charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine were David P.
