He was an Armed Forces veteran and an automobile salesman. Survivors include his wife, Audra of Manhattan; two daughters, Michelle King and Natalie Butler, both of Abilene; a stepdaughter, Angela Sellami of Prairie Village; a stepson, Brett McGuire of Manhattan; a sister, Sue Irby of Conway, two brothers, Keith of Greenbrier, and Joe of Coirway, and five grandchildren. The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Burr Oak Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 4 p.m.

Georgene C. Kohler ATWOOD Georgene C. Kohler, 64, Atwood, died Jan. 28, 2001, at Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmicheal, Calif. Mrs.

Kohler was born Georgene C. Pianalto on Nov. 2, 1936, at Tully. The funeral was Feb. 1 at St.

Mel's Catholic Church, Citrus Heights, Calif. An additional service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Atwood, the Rev. Damian Richards officiating. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Atwood.

Kottman ELLSWORTH John D. Kottman, 92, Ellsworth, died Feb. 18, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center. Wichita. Mr.

Kottman was born Aug. 31, 1908, in rural Lincoln County and was a lifetime resident 'of Ellsworth and Lincoln counties. He was a farmer-rancher in Lincoln County and a former board member of Ellsworth County Co-op and Ellsworth Credit Union. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merne, in 1982; and a grandson in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd of Ellsworth; a daughter, Sheldon of Homer, a special friend, Ellen of Ellsworth; six grand'children; 11 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Parsons 'Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery. Mercer NEWTON Florence O. Mercer, 83, Newton, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at Portland, Texas. Mrs. Mercer was born Florence O.

Oxford on Feb. 19, 1917, at Pender, and was a resident of Newton since 1987, moving from Chase County. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Newton. Her husband, Alfred died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Bill of Wilburton, two daughters, Betty Self of Portland and Darlene Campbell of Delphos; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, Newton, the Revs. Bernie Dickson and Rick Dages officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Delphos Cemetery.

Memorials may be to First Church of the Nazarene or Ministerial Scholarship Fund of the Baptist Learning Center of South Texas. Thursday, Lillian Ida Nelson CUNNINGHAM Former McPherson resident Lillian Ida Nelson, 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Kingman Community Hospital, Kingman. Mrs. Nelson was born Lillian Ida Gray on April 11, 1904, in McPherson and had been a McPherson resident until 1992, when she moved to Cunningham. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2715, War Dads and McPherson Garden Club, all of McPherson. Her husband, Ernest, died in 1973. Survivors include a son, Eugene of Valley Center; a daughter, Phyllis Blacker of Kingman; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, the Rev.

19, 2001, at Sunset Nursing Center, Concordia. Mrs. O'Guin was born Irene Box on Aug. 20, 1923, at Dexter, and was a resident of Concordia since 1993. She had worked as a press operator and office clerk in a dry cleaning business and later retired from Plastene Industries, Portageville, Mo.

She was a member of the Baptist Church, Concordia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in 1988; a son, Donnie Everett; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include a daughter, Faye Frazier of Concordia; a son, Darryl W. Everett of Red Oak, Texas; two brothers, Robert Box Jr. of Princeton, and Harvey "Pete" Box of Summerville, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Delisle Funeral Home Chapel, Portageville, the Rev. Dean E. Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.

19, 2001, at Citizens Medical Center, Colby. Mr. Petracich was born Mary Belcic on March 17, 1906, at Sharon, and was a longtime resident of the Wallace County and Sherman County areas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; a son, Frank and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include three sons, John W.

Pfeifer, 89, Hays, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. Mr. Pfeifer was born Feb. 13, 1912, at Hyacinth.

He was a retired farmer and oil field worker and a member of St. Joseph's Church, Hays. His wife, Katherine, died in 1983. Survivors include two sons, Verlin of Hill City and Patrick of Mansfield, five daughters, Lillian Pfeifer of Hays, Shirley Schmidt of Catherine, Mary Vogt of Chicago, Sheila Thompson of Westwood and Rebecca Tolemy of Wooddale, a sister, Pauline Bollig of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1985; and two daughters, Judith Phillips and Sandra Reinhardt. "Bud" Plaschka of Ottawa; seven granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

Broadway reportedly by a teen-ager with blond hair and driving a red sport utility vehicle. ARRESTED Jamie Stinger, 28, 2363 Chapel Ridge, on suspicion of theft when police found checkbooks belonging to six different people in her home.

All were either residents of Chapel Ridge or victims of recent car thefts. Police identified Stinger when she forged a check at a convenience store and the store's video cameras picked up her image. Salina police are continuing the investigation. INJURY CRASH and DUI Jordan Pitts, 18, and Jeremy Talbot, 16, were treated at the Salina Regional Health Center for injuries they received when the car they were riding in rolled several times at Kansas Highway 140 and Halstead Road in Saline County. Witnesses said the car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.

He was a farmer and the first president of the Kirwin High School Alumni Association. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Kirwin and a past member of Kirwin School Board. He was also a member of Farmer's Union Co-op Elevator Board of Kirwin, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Committee, Bow Creek of Solomon, Rural Water District Board, Bow Creek Township Board and Greenwood Cemetery Board. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Diane Stockman of Kirwin, Linda Miller of Agra and Kay Hawks of Norton; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. He was a former administrator of Gove County Hospital, Quinter, retiring in 1979 and later farmed and raised quarter horses. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 164 and United Methodist Church, both of Quinter.

Survivors include a son, John of Quinter; a daughter, Linda Everett of Baldwin City; a sister, Annabelle Stafford of Huntington Beach, four grandchildren; and a randchild. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, 901 S. Main, Quinter 67752, the Rev. Leroy Herder officiating.
