A daughter, Julie Ann Snow, died in 1971. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Maple Valley Chapel-Genther Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Nashville Putnam Library. Vera Waddell OLIVET Vera (Smuts) Waddell, 91, of 21813 23-Mile Road, died Wednesday, April 24, 1991, at home. She had been ill for some time. She was born in Wells County, and came to the area in 1 9 1 3. She was member of Faith Assembly of God.

Surviving are a daughter, Mildred O'Dell of Olivet; a son, Byron Waddell of Olivet; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Claude Smuts of Charlotte. Her husband, Vern Waddell, died in 1986. Ronald Waddell, a grandson who made his home with the family, died in 1981. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Memorials may go to Faith Assembly of God Church, the New Life Chapel or the Heart Fund. Lillie F. Williams Lillie Florida "Gran" (Green) Williams, 86, of 162 W. Manchester died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, after being stricken at home. She was born in Corydon, and came to Battle Creek in.

1930 from Evansville, Ind. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's CME Church. Surviving are a son, Gene A. Williams of Battle Creek; daughter, Flora E.

Wanzer of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her husband, Arthur Williams, died in 1968. Services will be 1 1 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's CME Church.

Arrangements are by Perry Mortuary. Elwood L. Yerger Elwood L. Yerger, 86, of Elm-hurst, 111., and formerly of Battle Creek, died April 10, 1991, in Gottlieg Hospital, Melrose Park, Dl. He was born in Battle Creek and attended schools here, graduating in 1922.

He was active in sports, excelling in basketball and football. In 1927, he graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind. He was plant manager for 46 years at Chicago Vitreous Corp. in Cicero, Dl. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a stepson, Roger Rutledge; a stepdaughter, Lynn Rutledge Jones; three grandchildren; and sisters, IdaBelle Morey and Leola Hawley.

Rawson Max W. Rawsori, 67, of 1030 E. Columbia died Monday, April 22, 1991, at home after a long illness. He was bom in East Lansing and came to Battle Creek in 1955. He served in the U.S.

Army during World War II. He worked for the old Clark Equipment Co. as a printer for 23 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Ef-ferd Lynn Chapter 7, Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are a' daughter, Sandra Rawson of Battle Creek; sons, Lawrence Rawson of Battle Creek and Michael Rawson and Richard Rawson, both of Sacramento, Calif; 1 1 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Farley-Estes Funeral Home. Harold A. Sherry HASTINGS Harold A. Sherry, 71, of 3041 Charlton Park Road, died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, in Battle Creek Health SystemLeila Site, where he had been a patient three days.

He had been ill for some time. He was born in Cheboygan and came to Hastings in 1944 from Grand Rapids. He had been employed by the Kroger Co. for six years and the former Eaton Corp. plant in Battle Creek.

He owned and operated a store at M-79 and Charlton Park Road for several years. He worked at E.W. Bliss for 25 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1965 and Moose Lodge 628. Surviving are a son, David Sherry of Hastings; daughters, Linda Waldron of Hastings, Sue Tebo of Kentwood and Mary Moore of Hastings; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Sherry of Hastings, Virgil Sherry of Onalaska, and James Sherry of Rochester, and a sister, Shirley Vettese of Warren.

His wife, the former Virginia Tietz, died in 1988. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Girrbach Funeral Home. Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society. Tecla A.

Snow NASHVILLE Tecla A. (Adinolfi) Snow, 63, of 732 Sherman died Wednesday, April 24, 1 99 1 in St. Lawrence Hospital, Lansing, after a long illness. Born in Naples, Italy, she met her husband while he was stationed in Italy during World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

They returned to Nashville after the war. For the past 17 years, she and her husband owned and operated Snow Locksmith in Nashville. Before that, she was employed as a substitute cook for Maple Valley School District in Nashville for more than 10 years. She was a 25-year member of U-Shar-It Group in Nashville, a group of Michigan State University Extension home-makers. She regularly attended the annual College Week for Women at MSU and lock and key conventions all over the country.

She collected jewelry in the shape of locks and keys and was a member of the Antique Doorknob Collectors Association. She enjoyed swimming at her Thornap-ple Lake cottage. She is survived by her husband, Homer Snow; sons, Robert L. Snow of Hastings, Larry R. Snow of Granger, and Randy L.

Miller Cecil G. Miller, 91, of Albany, a Battle Creek resident for 59 years, died Wednesday, April 24, 1991, in Albany Care Center. He was born in Cisco, 111., moved to Fargo, N.D., as a child, and returned to Illinois a few years later. In 1922, he moved to Battle Creek, where he delivered milk for many years. He moved to Albany in 1981.

He was a former member of First Assembly of God in Battle Creek and sang in its choir for 51 years. He also was a member of First Assembly of God in Albany. Surviving are a daughter, Lois Jeanne Weiderman of Albany, a brother, George Miller of Monti-cello, and sisters, Gladys Doane of Decatur, 111., and Thel-ma Sommers of Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruby B. Severns.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home, Albany. Ethel Morier CHARLOTTE Ethel (Pearson) Morier, 78, of 3236 Mulliken Road, died Monday, April 22, 1991, in Ingham Medical Hospital in Lansing after being stricken at home. She was born in Traverse City and came to Charlotte about 40 years ago. She taught school in Rose City, Vermontville and La-mie Country School before retiring.

She taught craft programs with apple-head dolls. Surviving are her husband, Mer-ton Miller, sons, John Morier of Charlotte and Michael Morier of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Harriett Morier of Charlotte; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Pearson of Detroit. He was born in Olivet and came to Battle Creek in 1923. He was a 1934 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and had been employed by Clark Equipment Co. as a welder and later as a foreman and supervisor, Harley C. retiring in 1976 Emerson after 40 years. He was a member of Clark Retirees and a life member of Bedford Lodge 207, and Bedford Chapter 471, Order of the Eastern Star.

He had been a member of the Post Band and organist for the Masonic and OES lodges. He had been a drummer with the Yellow Jackets dance band for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and rose and flower gardening. Surviving are daughters, Nancy Jo Payne and Kathleen M. Fleming, both of Battle Creek, and Barbara Ann Norris of Port Orange, four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

His wife, the former Enid R. Eddy, died in 1978. Services will be at 1 1 a.m. Saturday at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.

Henry Funeral Home. Laura O. Frost Laura Opal (Jerrell) Frost, 86, a resident of the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, died Wednesday, April 24, 1991, after a brief illness. She was born in Littles, and moved to Battle Creek in 1958 from Winslow, Ind. She was a member of the Morgan Road Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed traveling to Texas and California.

She was a former resident of Cherry Hill Manor. Surviving are daughters, Nina Scott of Sargent, Texas, Virginia "Mona" Lowe and Evelyn Frost, both of Battle Creek, Bertha Lingo of Egypt, Donna Goodrum of Alvin, Texas, Shirley Frost of Pasadena, Texas, Betty Chapman of Albion, Vonda Miller of Union City, Wanda Bouchard of Owosso and Helen Frost of Simi Valley, a son, Harlon Frost of White Bird, Idaho; 28 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. She was peceded in death by her husband, Harley Frost, in 1952 and a son, Ellis E. "Jack" Frost, in 1985. Services will be 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements are pending at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Bemeitta Bemer-Huffman MARSHALL Berneitta (Saver) Bemer-Huffman, 85, of 871 E. Green SL, died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, in Oaklawn Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Marshall and lived here all of her life.

She was a graduate of Marshall High School, Kalamazoo Normal and Argu-bright Business College. She had worked as an executive secretary, retiring in 1983 from the office of Dutcher James Keiss. She also had worked at Leila Hospital and Hatch and Hatch attorneys, and had been secretary to Floyd W. Starr, founder of Starr Commonwealth Schools. She was a member of Marshall Business and Professional Women and the auxiliary to Gen.

George A. Custer American Legion Post 54 of Battle Creek. She had served as secretary for Legal Secretaries Association. Surviving are a son, Jack Berner of Jensen Beach, a daughter, Pat Reed of Coldwater, six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hollis Berner, in 1930, and her second husband, Carl J.

Huffman, in 1968. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Lyon Lake Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Oaklawn Hospital's intensive care unit or Good Samaritan Hospice Care. Arrangements are by Craig K.

Kempf Funeral Home. Martin Buell, physician for 50 years, dies UNION CITY Dr. MartinF. Buell, 85, of Princess Anne, a physician who was in practice for 50 years, died Sunday, April 21, 1991, after a two-year illness. He was born in Union City and was a graduate of Union City High School and Johns Hopkins Medical School.

After completing his medical training, he returned to Union City, where he had a practice in his home and served at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. He moved to Princess Anne in 1 974 and retired from practice in 1980. He was a member of numerous affiliations, including the Masonic Order. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Lattimore, a nurse whom he met while they both were helping on Ellis Island; a daughter, Deborah Kodros of Lexington, S.C.; and a granddaughter. Services were today at Hinman's Funeral Home, Princess Anne.

(Baker) Belote, 79, a long-time Te-konsha and Marshall area resident, died Tuesday evening, April 23, 1991, in Mercy Pavilion, Battle after a long illness.

She was born in Albion and lived in the Tekonsha area most of her life before moving to the Marshall House in the 1980s. She worked as a nurse's aide at the former American Legion Hospital in Battle Creek, then at Leila Hospital for a number of years before retiring in 1970. Surviving are a son, Robert W. Belote of Battle Creek; a daughter, Mary Thornton of Warren; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Marguerite Bowers of Rochester and Julia Curry of Litchfield; and brothers, Keith Baker of Haines City, James Baker of Florida and Don Baker of Marshall. Her husband, Waldo E.

Belote, died in 1964. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Pavilion.

Linda K. Blanchard MARSHALL Linda Kay (Thomas) Blanchard, 46, of 6 1 4 N. Marshall died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at home after a long illness. She was born and raised in Battle Creek, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School. She had lived in Marshall since 1965 and had been employed as a clerk in area hotels and motels.

She was a member of the Marshall First United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose. Surviving are her son, Scott Blanchard of Marshall; daughters, Michelle Hopkins of Marshall and Kathryn Smeets of Michigan City, three grandchildren; her mother, Mildred Thomas of Marshall; a brother, Robert Thomas of Dowling; and sisters, Judy Breckon and Susan Gillespie of Marshall. Her husband, James M. Blanchard, died in 1983. Services will be at 10:30 a.m.

Clements, 85, died Wednesday, April 24, 1991, in Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital, after an illness. He was born in Vermontville Township. He was employed at the Charlotte Home Dairy for nine years and then farmed from 1935 to 1980. He was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church and the Michigan Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Royston; daughters, Wilma Nichols of Tennessee and Karen Rickerd of Charlotte; sons, Harold Clements of Charlotte and Darrell Clements of Sugar Island; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Irvin Clements of Holt and Robert Clements of Charlotte.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at United Brethren in Christ Church. Arrangements are by Pray Funeral Home. James Elem James Elem, 62', of 260 Greenwood was found dead Wednesday, April 24, 1991, at home. Arrangements are pending at Perry Mortuary.
